Unsourced Death Trooper Imagine?
Edit
How can I source that imagine? I'm very confused, I spent a few hours toying around until I was able to finally insert imagines. Please contact me as Soon as possible. Congrats on being an Administer. Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 20:42, January 17, 2019 (UTC)User:SupremeCommanderRaxus

- To clarify: the upload form on Special:Upload guides you to add the source to all images uploaded. Wookieepedia:Images clearly states "An image will be speedy deleted as soon as an administrator finds it if:
No description for the image has been presented.
No source for the image has been presented.
Acceptable sources include all official Star Wars products. Google, fan sites, and Wookieepedia are not acceptable sources.
No licensing information for the image has been presented.
The image does not qualify as fair use.
If an image is uploaded exclusively to be showcased in a gallery, it does not qualify as fair use.
Hiding data on Wookieepedia is strictly forbidden. Wookieepedia may not be used to transfer any data covertly. Attempts to use Wookieepedia for this purpose, including but not limited to steganographic embedding within image files will be penalized with an immediate permanent block from editing. Detection and determination of such attempts is at the discretion of the administration, and the administrator who discovers the data trafficking attempt has final blocking authority. Such files will be immediately deleted when found." Tommy Macaroni 20:45, January 17, 2019 (UTC)
- Just uploaded it. Can my "source" for this picture be Star Wars Battlefront II? Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 20:52, January 17, 2019 (UTC)User:SupremeCommanderRaxus
- No, because the image itself has not been taken from the game. The source in this case should be a website from which the image was extracted. Tommy

RE: uploading
Edit
Hi! Sorry about all the kerfuffle with this image; I'm really struggling with it and only found the correct upload form through your message. I just reuploaded it but forgot to rename it. I'm also supposed to use some kind of template while uploading it but I'm not really familiar with that either. OtterSurf (talk) 11:07, February 24, 2019 (UTC)
- Never mind, I worked on the template. The image still needs renaming though, which I've heard can only be done by an admin. If you could use the name I previously gave it that would be great, but it's really up to you. OtterSurf (talk) 11:37, February 24, 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, the guided upload form gives the template automatically. Thanks for making the effort to give the source and the template, I've just given the image the correct categories and layout, and renamed it per your request. Tommy

Images
Edit
I noticed you placed the underscore in the image file name on the VSD article. And I've noticed it showing up that way on other articles as well. I was wondering if that was a new site preference I didn't know about decided at a Mofference, or is that just something that was decided as a requirement for status articles? As it doesn't seem to make a difference because images display the same whether using a space or the _, I'm curious what the reasoning was behind this. Thanks in advance. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:42, March 30, 2019 (UTC)
- Hey, so yeah for status articles the review bodies do prefer the use of underscores over spaces for both images and templates. I'm not sure of the exact reasoning behind this, or if it is codified in our policies, but I assume it's more of an aesthetic thing than anything else. This is actually a good question and I'll get back to you on the reasoning for it after tonight's Inqmoot. Tommy

Grand Admiral
Edit
Sorry but why does it need a manual reference? It can be assumed that the rank was created in or before 10 BBY due to a source saying it was created prior to the Heist on Vandor. Kind regards Tomotron
(talk) 00:30, April 24, 2019 (UTC)
- A couple of things wrong here. We don't assume, information needs a solid source. Also, Life Debt neither directly references the heist on Vandor nor the year 10 BBY, as the heist was created after the book was released and the BBY/ABY system has only been used in reference books so far. Therefore, a manual note is needed to explain your reasoning, using multiple sources. Tommy

New parameter for infobox
Edit
Hey Tommy, I forgot how to make a new parameter for an infobox, so I was wondering if you could help me make a |series= parameter for Template:Movie. I believe this parameter is necessary, as we have the Star Wars saga, the Star Wars Anthology Series, Untitled Star Wars film series, and Untitled Star Wars trilogy. Thanks!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 21:45, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Basically look at what I did here and work to put it on the movie template. Go in to edit it, then copy a line next to where you want your new parameter. Then, paste it in and change the data source and label text to "series". Then add your parameter to the parameter definition on line 33. Then just add it to the usage list too. I've followed the page so I'll keep an eye on it to make sure you get everything, but I think it'd be beneficial for you to try this yourself. Tommy

Imperial Intelligence

Hi there, just wondering if the II is under the military or the ubiqtorate, for some reason it seems to be both and what should I do with the death troopers? Kind regards Darth Tomotron (talk) 23:41, July 24, 2019 (UTC)
- Hey, II exists under both organisations. I'd say if the ubiqtorate is mentioned in a source alongside II, II can be placed under it in appearances. However, if II appears on its own, it should probably just be placed under Imperial Military, as we don't add parent organisations to appearances upon the mention of a sub-organisation. Tommy

Interdictors
Edit
Hello Tommy-Macaroni, may I ask how you got the impression that every interdictor vessel is a cruiser? The CC-7700 frigate should be an obvious example for the opposite. Of course there are many interdictor cruisers, but that is no reason to asume that this applies to all of the models, especially given the frigate or the unidentified Interdictor vessel. To simply write "interdictor vessels" on the Battle of Endor page suggests that we don't know the type of the ships and that they may have been frigates of others - but that's not true. The Levers of Power clearly says that interdictor cruisers were used at Endor. I'd be fine with Lewisr's [[Interdictor vessel|Interdictor cruisers]], too, but in the form you suggest we're simply misapplying information. Kind regards, Onicle (talk) 15:56, September 1, 2019 (UTC) Postscript: You even said so yourself in the Interdictor vessel history (30th Dec 2017): "not all Interdictors were cruisers".
- I don't know why you think I've "got the impression" that all interdictor vessels are cruisers. I never said that. It's incorrect. The Tarkin book uses Interdictor vessel and Interdictor cruiser interchangeably. Therefore, because of the examples you mentioned, mostly the CC-7700 frigate, I moved the Interdictor cruiser page to Interdictor vessel some time ago, with Interdictor cruiser listed as an alternative name. For the Battle of Endor, while yes, it has been said interdictor cruisers were used at the battle, it isn't worth changing the Interdictor vessel link to reflect this. Interdictor vessel works just as well, and as I previously explained, is a better choice of word considering other craft. Using "cruiser" asserts we know all Interdictor vessels at the battle were cruisers, which The Levers of Power doesn't say, just that there were some cruisers. Besides, it's just good practice to avoid these types of pipelinks, and just leave an untouched link to the Interdictor vessel page. Tommy
Macaroni 16:13, September 1, 2019 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I got you wrong, but "Interdictor vessel is just another name for Interdictor cruiser" sounds like they're the same to you. But I don't get your point: We know of interdictor cruisers at Endor, but "it isn't worth" mention it?! Then why are we mentioning ship types at all? When we know that a battle included SDs, why not say vessels according to this logic? And of course "interdictor vessel" is a better name for the interdictor article, but because of this inclusivity it excludes the cruiser information if used as the link text on the Endor page. And Levers of Power or any other source doesn't suggest that there were other interdictor vessels that cruisers at Endor, so your point isn't very clear to me: Why shouldn't the page reflect the knowledge we have? When a battle includes SDs, should we change them to vessels because there could be ships of other types, too, even if we haven't heard from them? That's not the mindset I got to know is used here, and it doesn't make any sense to me. And if we use "cruiser" as the link text of the battle page, I don't think we're saying that all potentially appearing interdictor ships in the battle we're cruisers, but just the ones we know of - which is exactly true. Kind regards, Onicle (talk) 16:27, September 1, 2019 (UTC)
- The terms are the same to me; Tarkin uses them interchangeably. However, that doesn't mean all Interdictor vessels are cruisers, more that the term "Interdictor cruiser" is used loosely and doesn't always apply to cruisers, as we've seen before. That's why I'm unwilling to use it as Interdictor vessel is more broad for what it describes. The Interdictor vessel page is about a role, not a class. Your SD example isn't applicable as we have an article for Star Destroyer, as it is a class. We shouldn't use an alternative name for Interdictor vessel just because some of what we know about the battle conforms to that worse name for the subject. Tommy
Macaroni 16:45, September 1, 2019 (UTC)
- Now I get closer to understanding you: So your point is that interdictor cruisers don't have to be cruisers? (Well, we also have a cruiser article here that includes many loosely handeled informal cruisers ... that sometimes also happen to be corvettes, frigates or civilian craft ...) And I completely unterstand why the interdictor vessel role article has its name. Kind regards, Onicle (talk) 17:03, September 1, 2019 (UTC)
- I guess, but again that's different as that's a class. Tommy

And if we use "cruiser" as the link text of the battle page, I don't think we're saying that all potentially appearing interdictor ships in the battle we're cruisers, but just the ones we know of - which is exactly true. Workbench categories
Edit
Hi there, I just noticed this person's workbench page needs to be excluded from categories. And for that matter, I don't think mine are either (Mine are just called Workbench, Workbench2 and Workbench3). I'm not sure how that's done or if I'm able to address it myself, but would you mind either showing me how to do it or doing it yourself if that's what needs to be done? Thank you for your time! :) Toqgers (talk) 02:40, October 8, 2019 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for letting me know. Probably best for me to remove them with nowiki as I'm an admin and people might get funny about it, but if you see any more I'd appreciate you letting me know. Thanks again, Tommy

Sorry about not sourcing. I will make sure to source in the future. I won't make that mistake again. If I do make any other mistakes, please correct me.

Canon comics proposal change
Edit
Hey, Tommy! Just a quick heads up that I've made a small change to Forum:CT:Naming policy: Canon comic books. The change specifies that parenthetical descriptors will refer to the issue's publication year rather than the series', and the corresponding links were also changed. If you could review the changes to make sure you're still in support, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! - Cwedin(talk) 21:25, October 19, 2019 (UTC)
- Confirmed. All cool. Tommy

- A second vote has been added to the CT, and it will determine how to disambiguate competing titles. Please take a look when you have a chance! - Cwedin(talk) 02:45, October 21, 2019 (UTC)
Doom's Unit
Edit
I just recreated the symbol for Doom's unit, and I wanted to insert it into the page for it, however, I wanted approval for it before I did it.

- So like an SVG of the symbol seen in the episodes? Tommy

FAN
Edit
Actually, right before you said this, I was thinking about that. You're right. Maybe I'll nominate her after Resistance Reborn is released and all her info from the book is put correctly on her page. Thanks!--Doctor StarwarsTalk 20:33, October 31, 2019 (UTC)
- Sure. Would you like me to take down the nomination? Tommy
Macaroni 20:38, October 31, 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, please! Thanks again!--Doctor StarwarsTalk 21:05, November 1, 2019 (UTC)
Hey Tommy. I was just checking the No Disintegrations (Fantasy Flight Games) page and I realized that Jas is never shown in the Appearances section. I don't own it or know anything about it, but, I was wondering if I should remove the part of Jas Emari's page where it says she was shown in No Disintegrations, but I wanted to see to see what you thought. Maybe I'm wrong.--Doctor StarwarsTalk 19:41, November 2, 2019 (UTC)
- When you nominate a FAN or any other type of status nomination, it is an expectation you have access to all the sources so you can verify that all information in the article is accurate. In response to your question, you either need to access the book to verify yourself if the article's sources section is currently correct or not, or the article will be violating FAN rule 3: "have comprehensive Appearances and Sources lists." Tommy

Redirects
Edit
Hey Tommy, just wondering if you can put your bot to work into fixing some redirects I found. Ahsoka Tano's lightsaber to Ahsoka's lightsabers and The Outlander to The Commander (Alliance). Appreciated either way. Winterz (talk) 19:36, November 8, 2019 (UTC)
- I'll try and get round to it at some point, although I'll be more likely to remember (or someone else will get to it) if you leave it at Wookieepedia:Bot requests. Tommy
