Category fix on Yo-Hann Innk page?

Hello, I have a petty question that I don't know the answer to, or where to find the answer. I am still pretty new to this site and am learning as I go, so I tend to ask quite a few dumb questions. I noticed you made a change to the categories on the article Yo-Hann Innk, and I was wondering what exactly that change did. The categories were set as

  • Category:Criminals|Innk, Yo-Hann
  • Category:Males|Innk, Yo-Hann
  • Category:Nikto|Innk, Yo-Hann

When you changed it, you removed the name from the end of the category, but added DEFAULTSORT:Innk, Yo-Hann above all of them. I was just trying to figure out what exactly this change did, and if you could possibly help me find an area on this site that might be able to explain more about this. Thank you. • I understand now, thank you for letting me know. I was just a little lost when i saw that, wasn't sure what it did. TK-299 (Click Here) Imperial Emblem 07:59, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Procedure CT

Hey, Trak. Just letting you know that we've tweaked the wording of the CT on procedure so that a reply is not required. The new wording features this clause removed from option one: "All users who have cast votes prior to the desired change to be included are directly contacted and have expressed either their approval or rejection of said change by commenting under their vote, or the alteration to the vote is rendered invalid." I also want to emphasize that the two options are just that: options. Both things outlined in the CT have to be done. That has always been the nature of this proposal. Thanks. ...and Trak Nar as the voice of Rooty

I have expanded the article on the character Rooty, with the idea of nominating it to Good Article. I noticed your voicework playing Rooty (and other characters) in the audio drama of The Yavin Vassilika and I thought that I could deserve mention in the nomination. Of course, Wookieepedia fanon policies wouldn't allow a specific mention of an un-official audio drama in the article itself, but I thought that I could mention you in the "Nomination comment", something like: Nomination Comments: Really sorry, but I can't specify [[User:Trak_Nar|who]] voiced him in [ the unofficial audio drama.] Obviously I would only do so if you approve the idea. If you don't like it, I'll look for another one-liner to say. Skippy Farlstendoiro 16:59, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Ain't no party like a Scranton party...

Hi Trak, I'm Hunter, a fellow Pennsylvanian. I just randomly happened upon your user page and happened to spot your userbox about Scranton Toon. Awesome! (I live, like, an hour from Scranton.) Didn't even know there was a Rodian named Scranton. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use that userbox on my userpage as well! :) My compliments. — Hunter Kahn 03:34, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Trak. I see you're trying to save the Zuckuss article. Kudos to you and best of luck! If I can be of any help at all, please let me know. — Hunter Kahn 04:29, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Formal protest against the clone war tv show

This has gone on long enough. The clone wars TV show is ruining the canon. I am stating my reasons for why I think the TV show should be removed from canon. The original 10-minute shorts from 2003 are canon as far as I am concerned because it developed story.

1. It is just too plain silly. Men in battle do not make funny comments and obvious statements in real life. It is not a serious show. The goofy voice acting has no place in Star Wars. The original clone wars shorts were cartoony but serious, people died, and it developed plausible stories. Season one was basically just a one-hour long episode. In the new series they are cramming at least one-hour of story into 30 minutes of nothing but fighting. They said that the malevolence arc was an arc. It was nothing of the sort, it was just three stories about the malevolence.

2.The goody-two-shoes aspect. The Clone Wars canon has been established we know definitively what happens in the end. The aspect of the prequel trilogy was in the fact that we know what happens but not how it happens. The aspect of the original 10-minute shorts was in the fact that since the phantom menace came out a slew of new characters was established. You cared about the characters. During the Battle of Hypori I was praying that aayla and mundi did not die. They did not but three other jedi were brutally murdered. Then you have some more of anakin's journey towards the dark side with the menacing premonition on nelvaan. It developed the battle of coruscant and more or less syncs up with labyrinth of evil. In this series you just know that none of the new main characters are going to die because they have too much importance in the series. The other main characters have their stories fully developed and the canon has already decided what happens to them at the end of the clone wars.

3.It is implausible. How can you build an eclipse star dreadnought sized ship in less that two years? The other implausible scenarios are just too numerous to list.

4. It is messing with already established canon. I have looked at the wookieepedia knowledge bank in recent months and the questions about canonicity are too many.

5. The general sillyness. Two whole episodes about astromechs? I couldn't follow it. Battle droids are not that stupid, and how can they mistake Jar Jar for a jedi? He is a senator. Senators are too recognizable.

In conclusion I think that the clone wars TV show should be removed from canon (not the original shorts from 2003) Sign your user name under this petition on my discussion page if you agree with me and please send this message to other wookiepedians. I am the reformer, this is my message. Signed Revanthereformer1138 User:Revanthereformer1138

Re: 4-LOM

Sure, no problem:

4-LOM: An Intuitive Droid
Though 4-LOM began his operation life as a servant to organics, he rejected this servitude. First a thief, later a bounty hunter, a chance encounter changed everything, giving the droid a unique purpose.
The LOM protocol droid series had been a practical success, but a financial failure. Its makers, Industrial Automaton, had hoped to break the monopoly of Cybot Galactica, starting by breaking into the non-human market. The experiment was a financial disaster, doomed by lawsuits on one side and the indifference of the target market on the other. The remaining LOM droids were sold off cheaply, and so 4-LOM, a massively intelligent and talented droid, found himself serving as a mostly unnecessary liaison to rich humans aboard a luxury starliner, the Kuari Princess.
What began as an idle intellectual challenge between 4-LOM and the main computer of the Princess saw the insect-headed protocol droid, already fond of tinkering with his own programming, begin stealing from those he was supposed to serve. He eventually jumped ship, becoming a freelance thief. After falling in with Jabba the Hutt, who had the droid's programming altered further, he became an excellent bounty hunter.
Jabba paired 4-LOM with the bounty hunter Zuckuss, a member of the naturally force-sensitive Gand sub-species. These little findsmen were able to use their uncanny intuition to track possible future movements of their prey. 4-LOM sought to learn this technique in his new quest to become fully self-aware. Soon the Gand and droid became firm friends, and a deadly team of bounty hunters.
After many years, and many successful hunts, 4-LOM ran foul of the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett. He and Zuckuss were caught in the act of trying to steal the carbon-frozen Han Solo. In the ensuing fight, 4-LOM was blown to pieces. Though Zuckuss put him back together, the droid's memory was damaged. The 4-LOM that Zuckuss had known as a friend and partner was gone, leaving behind cold, precise, droid logic.
Did You Know...?
4-LOM's activities spelled the final end to Industrial Automaton's LOM series. Their rivals, Cybot Galactica, used the thieving bounty hunter's successes to disparage the reputation of the LOM droids. As a result, the LOM series was cancelled.
Type: Modified protocol droid
Height: 1.6 metres
Manufacturer: Industrial Automaton
Weapon: W-90 concussion rifle
Affiliation: Bounty hunter

Title error

Sorry to bug you Trak, but I noticed that the title of the second unidentified battle droid has a spelling error. I couldn't find any option to fix it, so I figured I'd let you know. I take it that only admins can fix titles? Near-sighted Jedi 07:14, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

Zuckuss: Behind the scenes

Behold!. Menkooroo 06:12, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

I see that Zuckuss has been kept as an FA, thanks to you. Well done! Your excellent efforts are truly appreciated and admired! — Hunter Kahn 01:59, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

  • I agree, your dedication to the article is admirable, Trak. By the way, I came across a couple things you might find interesting in a Star Wars Galaxy article about bounty hunters called Predators of the Empire by Brian Daley. This bit about Zuckuss hunting slaves as a findsman seems to be new: "Zuckuss the Gand, for instance, had been a 'findsman,' hunting runaway slaves on his misty home world." There's also this on the character's origins: "A sketch Ralph [McQuarrie] remembers as being the work of Costume Designer John Mollo most likely provided the basis of Zuckuss." Do with these what you see fit. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 20:48, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
    • I haven't come across anything else so far for either of them, and I think the unsourced paragraph was the only reason we kept Zuckuss on probation. Everything else seems to be fine. Xicer9Atgar(Combadge) 21:05, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
