Ever read The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader? It's not Fanon.Garrett Atkins (talk) 00:37, March 21, 2013 (UTC)

  • I have not read The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader, but seeing as how there was no source or link for Mochot Steep I thought it was fanon. Also, Darth Maul was confirmed to be alive (whether you agree or not) in canon, making that part fanon. Trip391 (talk) 01:10, March 21, 2013 (UTC)

I didn't know that. I looked at the category and it said Category:Dantooinians on that page. I wasn't the one who added that category. This is seems to be mistake.-- 20:23, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Edit

In that case, I'd recommend moving it to the bottom of the page and giving it a new heading. Removing it altogether is counterproductive to the point of a talk page, especially when it actually does suggest a change to the article. Menkooroo (talk) 05:05, June 2, 2013 (UTC)

Duranium Edit

It is not vandalism if it is correcting a problem. The behind the scenes section of Duranium is false. Even if the name was used in another scifi universe that does not mean that it had any bearing on its usage in this one. It is also impossible for anyone to claim that the substance came into existence in this universe because of star trek. So to say that it was first used in an episode of Star Trek that aired 11 years before Star Wars is inane because it is a fictional substance and its use in the Star Wars scene was not dependent on its "discovery" or invention in the Star Trek universe. To aimlessly remove my edit for this material without considering the logical reason for its removal is sloppy and inconsiderate to say the least. I hope you make future changes with a little more forethought. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • You were asked not to do it, then you did it again. 1 1/2 years ago you were also asked not to do it, also. The content was just not placed there randomly, (ie. not irrelevant), removing it actually is considered considered vandalism because you are lowering the quality of the article. Trip391 (talk) 17:55, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Duranium Edit

Just because something was not placed there randomly does not mean that it is not irrelevant. It cannot be lowering the quality, if material removed has no bearing on its use or introduction into the Star Wars expanded universe. I always imagined that the point of the Wiki was one of information of the material presented in the given universe. How can something be background information if the information being used is disassociated from the substance used this universe. In other words what Im trying to say is that just because they share a common name does not mean that either universe was influenced by the other. They could have been just as easily concieved of it independant of one another. To use statements like it was first mentioned in the Original Series episode "The Menagerie," predating Star Wars itself by nearly eleven years is more akin to trying to claim some sort of bragging rights. A look at me kind of statement. Had they left it at it was first mentioned in the Original Series episode "The Menagerie." I would not necesarrily have cause for complant. Also I was unaware that any request was made 1 1/2 years ago for me to not delete anything. It was not my intent for Vandalism mearly to try to keep the atmosphere clear of comments which could be construed as someone trying to claim supremacy of one fictional universe over another by claiming that they came up with a supposed material first when the idea could have easily been an independant one. After all isn't Duranium simply the word durable with a -ium thrown at the end? Yes I know that this one small area isn't sufficiant enough to cause any harm but I also know that enthusiasts (me included) can be rather fanatical about these things and if you give them a foot in the door they tend to try and take for all its worth. You really should stop going behind my back and editing in Bill George's name as crediting him with the design of the scout walker.

A little history, Bill George did not even work at ILM as a model maker until Return of the Jedi. The scout walker was first introduced in Empire. It was Joe Johnston, the art director who created a plastic model of the first 2-legged walker which George liked so much he decided to have it thrown in at the last minute, requiring a hastily made stop-motion armature to be made for it by Jon Berg and Tom St. Amand. He told me personally it was the only model in the Star Wars universe that was made in 3d first, using off the shelf model kit parts and it preceded any concept art of a 2-legged design.

Even my ILM book states Joe created the first scout walker. So please, don't take my word for it - research this yourself so people aren't misinformed and give Joe the proper credit for creating this design, which was his way of creating a vehicle that varied, but was inspired by the 4 legged walkers.

Ok so correcting your false info is now vandalism, eh? I'm not being threatening, I'm just frustrated this is the second time I've had to correct you and I won't stop until you get your head out of your butt and acknowledge your mistake. This site is set up to provide accurate information to the public, you don't have any ownership over the page so please remove your ego from the equation.

You just admitted that Lorne Peterson's Sculpting a Galaxy book is your only source for this erroneous Bill George credit. You should possibly consider due to the man's age that he made a mistake recalling things from 30+ years ago. There's another source of info you may like to consult, young man, it's called Cinefex, issue #3. This is the most respected sci-fi magazine publication in history and they interviewed the very people involved with the making of Empire Strikes Back, SHORTLY AFTER FILMING. In it, they describe in great detail the creation of the AT-AT scenes and it's mentioned the original AT-ST walker Joe created only made a brief cameo in the background on Hoth because the main shot they were planning got ruined due to a backdrop shifting. And yes, in this issue Joe is credited with the design, Dennis Muren can be seen standing next to it. Now tell me, how could Bill George, who George Lucas did not even know of at the time create the first AT-ST walker model? If you knew anything about Bill George, which I doubt, you'd learn about how he got hired at ILM in 1981, AFTER the first scout walker was already seen on Hoth in Empire. Look at his IMDB page, he was not working for ILM during Empire at all in '78 and '79 when the first scout walker prototype and AT-AT's were made.

Disastrous Campaign (Kazdan Paratus) Edit

Hello. I have declined your speedy deletion tag on this article because I cannot recall any precedent of a battle, campaign, or similar conflict being judged as non-notable by the community. As the first such case, I feel that it needs to be discussed by the community at large since there is no precedent. I have therefore started a TC thread at Wookieepedia:Trash compactor/Disastrous Campaign (Kazdan Paratus), in which you are welcome to argue your case for deletion. Hey, Trip. I see you're adding the Gallofree products category to all GR-75 medium transport articles. Please do not remove material that is in the article body if it is listed in the infobox. All infobox material must be repeated in article body. Thanks. —GethralkinHyperwave 00:34, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

  • Since there has been some misunderstanding regarding this:
All infobox material must be detailed in the article proper, with the following exceptions:
       The out-of-universe "era" field
The "prev," "conc," and "next" fields of event infoboxes, which are not necessarily relevant to the article
   →See Wookieepedia:Mofferences/November 11, 2012

GethralkinHyperwave 00:44, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

  • Please note that I have reinserted the infobox material into the article body. In future, instead of deleting, please reformat any lists into sentence form if their information is listed also in the Infobox. I have done this for you this time because I do not like leaving an article unfinished. Lists are less desirable, but it does not justify removal of entire blocks of content. Thanks. —GethralkinHyperwave 01:23, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Consider its worth... Edit

  • Gentlemen...Unless it is policy at Wookieepedia to remove those discussions from days gone by, they will be responded to by myself and others. What purpose do they serve to remain? What is the point to start "new" topics on the same subject and to continue them. These discussions and unanswered questions will stack and build if we let them, and eventually may reach decisions or provide information someone can use. Allow the content in question to remain in their headings, the subjects stay the same because they are. Perhaps no one will see the recent contributions to the Talk pages. Perhaps...More likely...Others will visit the talk pages, see their content, and help build despite the age of the discussion. We continue to talk about Threepio...For forty years we have. Consider this, speak to the administrators if you feel that you have a conclusion one way or the other. I will continue to scour the information source you have provided, and leave behind what advice qualified and appropriate for Wookieepedia. And that is if you, or your son, picks up the conversation where it left off or not. Some of these old chats are records of debate and deliberation on Wookieepedia. They can culminate and cultivate new reasoning, better understanding and articles. Thank you for your forbearance in this matter. If you continue to be dissuaded in this rational consideration, I will here your judgement, and cease to contribute to the growing talks on Wookieepedia. But is that silence what you desire or this site requires? Good day, responsible responders to the bylaws of this database. Thank you for your concern. But see truth. 01:20, June 28, 2013 (UTC)

Lists deletion. Edit

I agree that we shouldn't have lists on the wiki, but there has to be a better way of fixing it than just deleting them outright, especially regarding military aspects. We could always try doing paragraphs going in-depth about the specific divisions and equipment utilized, or for various products developed. I actually did just that with the Imperial Navy article. Of course, it left me a bit exhausted, but I figured it was worth it. I think we need to do something that solves the problem with lists, and yet at the same time does not delete information outright. What do you think? Trip391...Is it droid? My apologies for provoking you earlier. I am unsure whether or not you were the one who called for my block, but either way I did not intend to misrepresent myself by telling you to go to the administrators no matter what. I have posted a final, parting challenge and surrender for the administrator who did block me. If it is your desire, you can see the end of my one-man protest there. However, know that what I meant to express to you before my block was that I was done. My statements on going to the administrators was not meant to provoke anything more than thought. I wanted you to think about what I said, and take your conclusions to Wookieepedians...Peacefully...Not to get me shoved out. But that was partly my bad for not being direct. I think I confuse people when I write so much. The admin who blocked me was bewildered by my response. Again, I'm done going to all but maybe one person on Wookieepedia to speak to them. But apologizing for miscommunicating my intentions was in order. Thankful for contributing to this datasource, please assist in my questions on the Knowledge Bank if you can, and have a good day. Merging Fiber Cord with FibercordEdit

Concerning Tf Edit

I would like to let Tf' own words speak for him (bold is my emphasis):

"I do not plan on restructuring the entire template section if there is no need… Yes, I did recently move Template:GG to Template:Galaxy Guides since it's an obscure abbreviation not commonly used (unlike KOTOR, for instance), and thus possibly hindering to editors… I don't plan on restructuring every template in the same way."
―Thunderforge on restructuring[src]

This is in his own words that he plans to do restructuring, indicating that he will make changes as he feels the need and in the manner that he sees fit to suit. Also, are you absolutely sure that he did not get IRC approval to move the {{GG}} template, and that the approval sought was for the bot to redirect? His statements are more than mis-wording if that is the case:

"Yes, I did recently move Template:GG to Template:Galaxy Guides since it's an obscure abbreviation not commonly used (unlike KOTOR, for instance), and thus possibly hindering to editors. I checked on IRC if that would be alright and I was told it would be, so I put my rationale in the edit summary."
―Thunderforge on restructuring[src]

Is it possible you could be mistaken, or are you sure there was no such request made? —GethralkinHyperwave 18:33, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

  • I was not trying to harass you on the subject. I was simply asking if it might be possible that some information may not have been accurate and Tf could be given the benefit of the doubt. What you state and what he states did not make sense together, and I was only seeking clarification. —GethralkinHyperwave 04:14, July 16, 2013 (UTC)

Your uninvited involvement in the dispute resolution of others Edit

I politely and discreetly asked you not to help in a dispute resolution, and you seemed to have, at first, responded well to my suggestion to stay out of it. However, you got into the middle of this from the very beginning, and continue to bring it up:

  1. While Thunderforge and I were civilly trying to resolve our initial dispute (of which I properly began by placing a very appropriate tag on his talk page designed for the very action that he made), you jumped in and involved yourself in a dispute that had nothing to do with you.
  2. While I was responding favorably to Thunderforge's stated gained assent on IRC (and expressed my misunderstanding as causative of my objection), and when it was explained to me that IRC was acceptable by Tope and Culator, you again jumped in and ruined all of that stating with authority that Thunderforge never got assent for moving the template (indicating that he lied).

Please stop meddling. It's fine if the community likes the name change. I don't argue that. I personally don't like it, but I accept that the community does. That is what a consensus is, the agreement of at least some to keep a matter despite their unfavorable position toward it. However, if there were more dissenters to the template change, you would have no basis for your current comments. Also, in SH (which, apparently, you have not examined fully), he was not advised on how to move templates. He was advised concerning creation of new templates as to what guidelines for naming them were (of which no guidelines exist for a reason), since that was the understood premise of his post (the SH discussion is about the guidelines, not about changing the guidelines). The community that agreed 13 to 1 did not have your information of (what you imply as) possible lack of IRC assent at the time of their voted comments. The indicated duplicity that could possibly have been used to garner consent, had that been revealed at the outset, could have resulted in a different Tc decision. Who knows, it's closed? At this point, that isn't the issue, and I would appreciate you not continuing to bring it up. Telling me that the Tc I posted was a "farce" is stating that I am either the author of a "comedy" or that I am "absurd," "stupid," or "extremely unreasonable." I seriously doubt that you are saying that I am funny. As for unreasonableness, I have even (if you haven't noticed) agreed with the called closing of the TC, and directly requested an admin to do so—with the votes remaining as they were. I have also changed my position in the CT. Please be careful not to accuse PA on my part, as you seem to be on shaky ground yourself. Saying that the TC didn't last two days shows you don't think that was long. Then such a consensus process shouldn't bother you by your definition. However, it seems to me that you are taking point against anything that may be my position, and I would like you, please, to concentrate only on the facts and policies in the matter and quit assigning motivation. As to your final comment, you imply that I am not a part of this editing community or have a voice in it. You maintain that the community decided to keep the template change—your definition of the entire WP editing community in this case is the 13 you favor. That is a fraction of the the whole WP community, just as when I bring an issue to the floor as the fraction of that community and can rightfully state that this is in the interests of the community. You can not say that the whole community is represented by only 13 when you state that 1 may not represent that same community. However, I am very much a part of this community and indeed have consented to the changes voted on by the community of which I and 13 others are a part. The "agreement of the community" is not my policy, but this wiki's, so although I may use hyperbole in bringing it forward, this is not my personal position. Do not discuss any of this any further with me anywhere nor involve yourself in any dispute resolution that I may be having with another editor. Your involvement has turned into a dispute between us itself, and I would rather disengage myself from the exchange than continue discussing it. Let us, please, consider the matter dropped from this point and not bring it up again. Thank you. —GethralkinHyperwave 20:08, July 16, 2013 (UTC)

Talk Pages Again? Edit

I've left the four tildes each time. Once I left them off on accident and went back to correct it right afterwards. But I've been doing it each time. Can you tell me where I'm not...Aside from a couple weeks ago when I did them at the front instead of the end. That might help me to figure out where you are seeing them and where I'm not doing them. Unless, of course, you looked at the edit history and the pages current form on one of my posts. I'll be careful, though. Thanks for your attention and concern. 20:21, July 17, 2013 (UTC)

Vibro-ax Melee weapon categoryEdit

Why did you remove the "Melee weapon" category from Vibro-ax?--Richterbelmont10 (talk) 17:44, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

  • Hm. I thought when you click on a category, you should see all weapons in that category. Wouldn't it be good for a user to click on Category:Melee weapons and see all melee weapons?--Richterbelmont10 (talk) 17:51, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
  • What I'm saying is, when you click on the Category:Melee weapons, you should have a nice complete list of all major melee weapons. We shouldn't force the user to click on a subcat to see a major weapon like a vibro-ax. (I noticed vibrorapier is in the Melee Weapons category).--Richterbelmont10 (talk) 18:07, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
  • I'm not asking to have "everything" listed there. Just the major weapons. For example, I would include vibro-ax, but NOT Acidic Paragon vibro axe or BD-1 Cutter vibro-ax or Ceremonial poleaxe or Clan Groogrun vibro-ax.--Richterbelmont10 (talk) 18:14, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Three revert-rule Edit

You need to cool it with the reverting, Trip. You're now one reversion away from violating the three-revert rule on Talk:Jorus C'baoth. Talking about how to pronounce the article's subject most definitely does not violate the talkheader, as pronounciation keys are often included within article intros (see Empatojayos Brand and M'iiyoom Onith for examples). Additionally, responding to old discussions is no reason to remove a talk page comment. That will be specifically encoded in policy if the current CT passes, and until it does, the only rule we have is the one found in {{Msg-talkr}} and {{W}} --- that is, do not remove any talk page messages. Do not remove the comment from Talk:Jorus C'baoth again. Menkooroo (talk) 07:58, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

Jorus Edit

No, that is the correct pronunciation. See the intro of Joruus C'baoth --- it's with a soft c sound, not a hard c. It was correct information, not vandalism, and was under a new header to boot. It belongs on the talk page. Menkooroo (talk) 08:26, August 3, 2013 (UTC)

YT series Edit

Question, why do you delete the overview of the YT series ships?

(CounterG (talk) 10:49, August 8, 2013 (UTC))

I second that. The overview pages of a series (like *VCX series, *YG series, etc) all contain a list of at least a few notable models. Which makes sense, because while useful, the category system in wiki's isn't exactly user friendly. It's puzzeling to go to an overview page of the most notable series (because it contains the YT-1300, which is the most iconic ship in the star wars universe, if not the most iconic spaceship in science fiction), and not find at least some of the most important models of the series, just like on all other ship-series pages. -- 20:07, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

Well wouldn't it be better to have the articles already created, and then add new info to them? I think it's much easier to do that than to create an article from scratch, at least for most people, especially new users. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs). 10:29, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

  • I never said that I think that articles with redlinks are bad, I just think that adding new info to articles that are already created is much easier than creating them from scratch, adding templates, appearances, categories, etc. The article was indeed made, it just requires expansion which is why I usually add the stub template to them. 11:01, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
  • Trip, don't give people warnings for nothing more than creating articles. It's absolutely and objectively NOT something that merits a warning. Filling in redlinks is not spam, regardless of the length of the new article --- turning a redlink into a stub is common practice all over the site. It's done all the time in FAnoms and GAnoms, and otherwise by established users, as well. A stub is better than no article at all. You should only be giving warnings to those who actually need them, and not to people who are actually improving the site. Smarten up. Menkooroo (talk) 14:20, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

Galactic Empire edits. Edit

I was wondering what edits are extensive enough to require an inuse tag for the Galactic Empire article? So far, nothing has popped up from your edits, and people are probably ignoring the tags. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 20:13, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Inuse tags Edit

Fancy thing that. In the end I went through with the edit due to the fact that the tag has been in place for the better part of a month and progress has been sporadic at best with the last change being three days ago. I did not really feel that this would spawn a great deal of issues. While I can fully understand the desire to avoid edit conflicts, the idea of for all intents and purposes locking down a page to all but one editor seems a bit odd, additionally that typo, which had been there for about as long as the WIP template was there was driving me nuts, and I figured it'd be best to get it taken care of. If that's wrong then I'll gladly defer to your judgement, this is not my main wiki so you know better than I. I just figured I'd take the time to explain my reasoning, however random, and all over the place it may have been. Richie9999 (talk) 05:20, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

Bounty hunter reverts Edit

Hey Trip I noticed you've been reverting the edits of an anon on a lot of the bounty hunter pages, after he removed the death info from their infobox. There may be another reason I'm not aware of for your reverts, but in terms of information the anon is actually correct and their edits are ok. For bounties who have higher bounties alive than dead in bounty hunter the Wook assumes that in terms of 100% game completion Jango captured them alive, as to earn the maximum amount of credits. This assumption can be seen in affect on the Clantaani page. I apologise if you were reverting for a different reason but you seem to be reverting valid work as far as I can tell and seem to be upsetting the new user by doing so. Ayrehead02 (talk) 22:37, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • Ah my apologises Trip I only saw a small bunch of reverts by you on recent activity and not the larger problem. Hope I didn't offend you or anything and I should of looked further before speaking out of place. Ayrehead02 (talk) 21:39, August 21, 2013 (UTC)

Of edit summaries and all Edit

Hi, wanted to contact you directly about the edit summary I raised in RFU discussion.

I don't find the lack of edit summaries and overagressive minor-marking as your problem (specifically) but something I find troubling in overall (see my taking on that in here and here). What I'm trying to say is you're doing rather good job in Wookieepedia standards, I'm just old cranky fellow who wants to raise the bar a bit. Keep up the good work, I believe you can do much more than I ever could. (: – Tm_T@Wookieepedia:~$ 07:44, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

Species cultures Edit

Hey, Trip. I can't say I agree with your decision to recategorize various categories for individuals under their respective species' cultures. For example, you've made Category:Squibs a subcategory of Category:Squib culture, rather than the other way around. We've been doing things opposite of this for quite some time, and the old way seems more logical. What's your thinking on this? Was there some SH or CT thread I missed? ~SavageBOB sig 13:15, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

  • Hey, thanks for the reply. I disagree that it's more logical for the species to be categorized under the culture; the culture wouldn't exist if it weren't for the individual members of the species who create it through their sociality. The headings of those various categories, such as Category:Squibs, do say "This is for Squib individuals," but we can easily change that to say, "This category is for Squibs and their society" or some such. Maybe a CT is in order to canvas wider site opinion and decide on what practice or the other, just to get some sort of policy in place? ~SavageBOB sig 20:28, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

The Human vs Not debate Edit

Well Trip, I think it's safe to say that those "obvious" Humans are indeed Human due to facial proof, although some might disagree. The anonymous IP address is using CC's advice (there's nothing wrong with that, so don't get me wrong) to determine what is a Human and what is not. I do not see the IP edits as non faithful nor do I see them as vandalism. However, those unidentified criminals wearing those hats are a bit tricky since their face (minus their mouths) are covered. Birok is obviously Human to me. If this persists, then I would recommend starting a new SH. Hope that clears any confusion. JangFett (Talk) 13:49, September 23, 2013 (UTC)

Ninjedi (talk) 20:53, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry but it seems to me the most useful way to catalog a category is to apply both the category and subcategory to the relevant pages. Take this example of starships, the main starship page should show links to all starships on the wiki then if a user wants to refine the list he can click on a subcategory, say stafighters, that page would then show all the starships that are considered starfighters and then he can further refine his list by clicking on snubfighters. As it stands if a page is in a subcategory the page doesnt show up in the parent category, which isn’t very useful. My proposed method is a little bit more work but far more organized and useful.-- 03:36, September 29, 2013 (UTC)

Please be specific when blasting me for adding unverified information. Nothing I added to the Vespid edit was unverified or unverifiable. If you disagree, please tell me which things and I will be happy to discuss them. Thanks Unsigned comment by LostCampbell (talk • contribs).

Here are some links and research regarding Vespid vs Mantid species. First, let us examine the dictionary definitions of both vespid and mantid:

Vespid: n. any of numerous, mostly colonial, nest-building wasps of the family Vespidae, as the yellow jackets, hornets, and mason.

Mantid: n. predacious long-bodied large-eyed insect of warm regions; rests with forelimbs raised as in prayer [syn: mantis]

Now that we have a basic definition of the differences between Vespid and Mantid species, let us examine the example given in the Star Wars Wiki definition of Vespid:

"Vespids were a subgroup of insects. The Yam'rii were considered a vespid species." [[1]]

The Yam'rii, huh? Click on the link. Look at the picture. What does that look like to you, a wasp or a mantis?

It should be obvious at this point that the Yam'rii are an inaccurate representation of a vespid species. So either the it's the wrong picture, or it's the wrong definition. Here's a hint; it's not the wrong picture. The question is, therefore, what species of insectoid aliens would make a better 'wasp-like' example?

In my edit, I included two: The Kamarians and the X'ting. Click on those links, and look at the pictures. You will agree that they are distinctly more wasp-like than the Yam'rii, which are clearly mantid.

You'll also find on those links the sources in which these species appear. In the case of the Kamarians, Dark Nest III: The Swarm War remains a consistent source, but for the X'Ting, simply scroll down to "Appearances" on the wiki itself and you'll see the sources I listed in my edit, which are The Cestus Deception and The Hive.

From the evidence above, it should be clear by now that my edit of the Vespid entry was well-founded and thoroughly researched. I thank you for your vigilance, but I ask that in the future you include specific criticisms to help those whose entries you insist on rewriting, and that you make sure your research is on point as well.

Thank you for this experience. Going forward, I will make sure I keep a copy of every edit I do, so when an entry of mine is erroneously reverted or deleted, I can much more easily correct such a blatant error.

Harrison Ford quoteEdit

Hi Trip, I initially removed the quote on the page because the source link is broken & unreliable. While the specific source associated with the quote that is linked on the page is available via IEArchive, the author of the actual article is only recalling a quote as he remembers it rather than Harrison actually being "quoted" directly as a primary source. While I believe it is possible that Harrison did say the quote, in recent years I've seen it quoted by more reliable sources without the expletive altogether. Shouldn't we be sourcing the quote to wherever he was initially quoted rather than what may be a rumor remembered by some random who heard it from someone else? I do NOT remove any necessary content. Regarding The Dread Master article, I only rectified things. You cannot know if only Calphayus was the only one who survived. In addition, concerning the defeat of the Dread Masters, actual the boss mechanics regarding the boss fights with the Dread Masters were described! "During the fight, the Masters were confounded by the strength of the strike team, and brought back the spirits of Styrak and Brontes in an attempt to even the odds. This did little to even the fight however, and the spirits were defeated. In a last ditch attempt for victory, the remaining four Masters attempted to suck the life out of the strike team's members. The strike team then killed each Master one-by-one, who still could not believe that they had been defeated." If you have ever been in the Operation "Dread Palace" in SW:TOR, you would know that's a part of the "The Dread Council's" boss mechanic but has nothing to do with the story. Removing speculations however isn't removing content for sure. Out of the question!

Unverified informationEdit

Hi, uh listen, I think this is a mistake, but I didn't add any unverified information. I realized you removed all the information that I added from Mia Hawkins and Graal. This was actually verified information. Also, I know the game, and I added the correct information that got, including the Cipher Nine page. IU measurementsEdit

Why'd you remove the miles conversion on the Death Star pages? They were in parentheses, showing that metric was the main unit of measurement used. Not everyone knows the metric to English conversions, so it's kinda nice to have for them. Just saying.

CaptFredricks (talk) 23:02, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I didn't see the GFFA summary. However, the English conversion was already on the Death Star page. I merely corrected a faulty measurement that someone else had put up. CaptFredricks (talk) 23:11, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

  • Neither Wookieepedia nor another Star Wars wiki are actually allowed to be used for sources, as neither are reliable or verifiable. The Polish wiki does not even have any sources backing up Cade's birth year so that someone can check to see where the information came from. So, if someone adds unverified information that never actually appeared in a source, calling it fanon would be accurate, and MięsoStarWars was already told to provide a source previously. Math datesEdit

Please stop removing the circa dates I've been adding. If a bio says "born at the time of the formation of the New Order" that is a textbook exmample of c. 19 BBY. This is removing relevant information that can be logically inferred. Unsigned comment by Praguepride (talk • contribs).

RE: Original Research (from Wookiee page) What is not original research?

"Editors may make straightforward mathematical calculations or logical deductions based on fully attributed data that neither change the significance of the data nor require additional assumptions beyond what is in the source. It should be possible for any reader without specialist knowledge to understand the deductions."

Saying that the Empire formed on 19 BBY is not original research. Hence why they allow c. dates at all. --praguepride (Talk) 20:46, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

RE: RE: Original Research You and I have very different ideas about this then. I don't feel inclined to let this go at the moment because I have seen circa dates on many articles and would like a definitive consensus on how to proceed. Wip Edit

Hey Trip, just to let you know, a {{Wip}} isn't the same as {{Inuse}}. We really should do something about them both since the difference between the two can get rather blurred. Why did you delete my edit on the article of Uthar Wynn?Edit

Dear Trip391, why did you delete my edit on the article of Uthar Wynn? What I wrote is really something what happens in the game on that way. I have played the game by myself. I played on the Dark Side way and before I came in Tomb of Naga Sadow, I had poisoned both Yuthura Ban and Uthar Wynn. In the tomb after finding the Star Map, I choose Uthar Wynn's side. After I killed Yuthura Ban, Uthar Wynn did feel the poison and knew immediately that I was responsible. There was no way to keep him alive, he attacked me, and there was no moment that he did ask me for mercy. I was shocked, because I was planned to tell him that I was Darth Revan, and I did discover to late that I could do that, if I didn't poisoned him. I want to prevent that the same thing will happen to the other players of the game. Tim Auke Kools (talk) 13:18, July 2, 2014 (UTC)

  • I'm making some changes to Wredd's wookiepedia page, if you don't mind. All my info I got from SW Legacy, Vol 2, Issue 16. In it, it basically stated that Mala, the rogue planet is Wredd's homeworld.--DarthKenny (talk) 02:28, July 19, 2014 (UTC)

If this is true, we should probably remove its appearances from other droid episodes. However, I doubt the consistency between episodes was an accident. Its like seeing what is obviously an R5 and calling it an Unidentified Astromech Droid. I move that we take this at face value. Unsigned comment by AV-6R7 (talk • contribs).

  • I see. I find the latter option unlikely due to the different eye shape, but the alternate coloration does leave me doubting it. I was just tying it all together, others having made this mistake before me. Considering how much this type of Medical Droid has made an appearance, should we create a separate article for them? Finally, should I wipe this unverified information from the pages in question?--AV-6R7 05:42, July 28, 2014 (UTC)
    • I will see the info is removed. About that new article. Yay or Nay?--AV-6R7 05:46, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Force Planet editsEdit

So should I just copy the info from the legends page since it would be identical as opposed to merging it as I did previously? Geffix (talk) 22:09, July 29, 2014 (UTC)

  • So after a closer examination of the sources in both Force planet and Force Priestesses, I cannot find anything that would indicate that all present information would not be 100% canon. For both articles, sources and references are: the relevant TCW episodes (canon), entriesfrom the previous encyclopedia (a source that "only contained information available from the six Star Wars films and The Clone Wars series, and did not incorporate any Expanded Universe material." a.k.a. what we now call canon), and the content from Star Wars Insider 148's Launchpad sections are episode summaries/previews of the then-recently released "Lost Missions" of TCW (so previews of upcoming canon). So unless I am overlooking something, which is a possibility, I don't see why these wouldn't be purely canon articles since there no presence of Legends material in any of them. Geffix (talk) 23:58, July 29, 2014 (UTC)
    • I think it just makes more sense to just add the Canon tag in addition to the presence of the Legends tag, indicating that the article is fully Canon AND Legends. As it is, the current Legends page contains no Legends specific material. Are there no hybrid articles like that, where 100% of what is presented is both fully canon and legends? I recognize there is overlap between a fair amount of Legends/Canon material, but in these particular cases the facts are identical. Basically, I'm failing to see why there needs to be both canon and legends pages for these two cases since there are no differences. Geffix (talk) 00:18, July 30, 2014 (UTC)
      • Then shouldn't the current Legends pages (for Force planet and Force Priestesses) be labeled Canon as per my initial edits? After all, Canon info can also be Legends info, but Legends info cannot be Canon. The articles were created prior to the canon/legends split and would've been previously classified as T-Canon, a level created to put TCW "above" the vast majority of other EU content. Given the fact the that sources and references on the current Legends pages only provide Canon sources I don't see why a reclassification isn't in order. Force planet was initially classified as Canon before being made Legends if you check the edit history. Geffix (talk) 00:46, July 30, 2014 (UTC)
  • Perhaps a new Category is in order.AV-6R7 00:54, July 30, 2014 (UTC)
    • ... no. The article was incorrectly classified as canon before the system was established. You're arguing against a system that has been established by community consensus, when all you have to do is write up the canon version of the article and spare yourself all of this unnecessary wikilawyering. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 00:57, July 30, 2014 (UTC)
      • I'm not arguing against the system, only that these two particular articles are currently misclassified. That is all. Only -one- of the possible solutions I suggested would require any sort of change to be made to the currently existing policy. And based on this site's own canon policy, the current articles are Canon, not Legends: they exclusively contain information from The Clone Wars episodes. There is no existing Legends crossover other than Legends recognizes TCW as a whole. Not a single thing has been pointed out to me as to why these two articles are not currently misclassified. Nothing about what I've argued contradicts/violates the site's canon policy. Geffix (talk) 02:18, July 30, 2014 (UTC)

wrong Edit

conversations go in order... ralok (talk) 05:50, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

That isnt the way conversations work on a wiki... or literally anywhere. The conversation must be placed in chronological order... and you must undestand this... not for my benefit, but so the newest comments always appear on the bottom so the people who start the thread can accurately read when everyone responded... this is something that is completely obvious to anyone who gives it a single moment of critical thought. As well its generally consider rude as hell to alter something someone else wrote on a wiki, even if those edits are minor. ralok (talk) 05:55, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I saw you changed links to w:c:godzilla articles to instead link to Wikipedia. in regards to Starfighter stats Edit

I apologize. i will refain from making edits to "canon" from now on. the only reason i have even Bothered to Spend the Hours of research on the subject is due to a error i noticed in the HWK-290 (Moldy Crow) X-Wing Game piece when Compared to the X-wing itself in regards to Shield, Weapon, Maneuverability, and Hull rating Ratios. the stats of the HWK-290 and the X-Wing should be nearly identical.

X-wing Speed: 100 MGLT ACCEL: 16 MGLT/second Manu: 75 DPF Shield: 50 SBD Hull: 20 RU

HWK-290 Speed: 96 MGLT ACCEL: ?? Manu: 70 DPF Shield: 124 SBD Hull: 68 RU

However the Hwk-290 Has been neutered significantly compared to it's game piece counterpart. Which is quite sad really. I suppose that i am Simply Frustrated that they could Screw up and Make the Moldy Crow just a simple support Craft when it has the speed and Firepower that rivals that of the X-wing, while boasting much better defenses.

anyway i guess i just felt the need to Voice that frustration. however i instead ended up getting snippy at you, which was unfair of me. i hope you accept my apology.

reference change Edit

Hi Trip. I'm wondering about your reason for this reversion. I added the page number because the medicine is mentioned exactly once in the novel, and for someone trying to find that reference, a specific page is a more useful citation than an entire novel. Crystal crisisEdit

Hello Trip391,

If the pages Lightsaber crystal and Ilum crystal are not the same, why are they both linked to the page Kyber crystal? Example: When clicking on the Cannon tab from the Lightsaber crystal page, it is not possible to return from the Kyber crystal page. The legends tab on the Kyber crystal page is linked only to the Ilum crystal page.

--Connorlee17 (talk) 03:40, December 4, 2014 (UTC)

  • I'm going to cut in here. The reason both pages are not merged is that in the Legends universe there are many types of focusing crystal. For example, there is the Kyber Crystal, the Ilum crystal, and many others. The lightsaber crystal page simply describes the many types and what a focusing crystal is.AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 03:49, December 4, 2014 (UTC)

Question About Wilhuff Tarkin Revision Change Edit

Hey Trip391, just noticed my revision of at least two red links on Tarkin/Canon were undone. Just wondering what the issue was so that I can make sure not to repeat it. Effect 05:24, December 12, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Re: Question About Wilhuff Tarkin Revision Change Edit

I was thinking that might be the problem; however, as far as I can see, the error is in those pages themselves. The Battle of Lola Sayu and the Bombing of the Jedi Temple Hangar were both events that happened in The Clone Wars television show, and would therefore be considered canon, not legends. There shouldn't be need of any distinction. Am I correct? --Effect 09:10, December 13, 2014 (UTC)

About "trivia" Edit

We're not supposed to add speculation, all right. Speculation would be saying that an author *based* something on something else, and having no source for that statement. Noting a similarity may be helpful, and *not* speculative. Saying that a banana-shaped alien looks like a banana isn't speculative, is it? However, I'm done with it. Keep "trivia hunting" all you please, I won't argue anymore. --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 10:45, December 15, 2014 (UTC)

Trip, you did it again. Edit

Man, so much knowledge of Star Wars gets you nowhere when it comes to getting Wookieepedia. So here is my dilemma, and one of the reasons I have contributed, confronted, but never could actually join Wookieepedia.

We put out a well formulated discussion on a talk page that does beg the question if the article is treating the subject fairly in some areas. Historically people bounce things off the walls of talk pages all the time. But if you hit the wrong people for some reason they will read the letter of the law and say it has to go to KB.

However, once you are down at KB anything not generally accepted as continuity or not already in an article cannot be discussed at all, since it is liable to be construed as speculation or changes to the article which must then go back to the talk page.

In short, I have done this before, people who cannot agree, but still all try to enforce rules over each other. And, no, you cannot possibly, humanly, How-dare-eulogy say that the Prestigious Rules of Wookieepedia need to be changed. Can I please just discuss Both the Article and the Topic like what my original Commentary was trying for.

It's okay, Trip, If you missed it. Back to my original talk about the guy who wrote some Sith, he probably wants thing as right as...Why do we say rain? I like it. But still. Crops.

May the Force be with you, let me know when I can undo your revision. 21:53, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Canon article creation/expansionEdit

Sith Language Undo on You Edit

Ok Trip. Don't know if you got hung up or missed the message. I see everything in your inbox is clean, though. So I am just going to keep this short.

If I take what I said on the Talk page of Sith Language over to the KB, everyone will tell me to go back to the Talk page, and vice versa again. It has happened many times, as Wookieepedians generally enforce the rules over each other. Sometimes even based on a very bad interpretation. And of course you can never suggest the rules are not best for Wookieepedia to do well with.

My purpose of that topic was to discuss the subject and question the article's current status at the same time. If you do not respond this time, I will undo your revision. I said before you could have missed, I said the Linguist missed it too, but there is a lot of Star Wars to back it up, and you probably want what is best the same as I. See you around Trip.

It has been a while. Last time I saw your name was back when I was getting banned for reform twice. Just challenged an Admin's apathy towards the films and discussed an abandoned topic that left an article wanting. Then I gave up when I realized the Jedi Archives had been stored in a madhouse. Our free-for-all isn't good. And there are Admins who don't even give enough respect to the movies to talk canon on the Knowledge Bank. But my words respected the Linguist who I declared had it wrong, the comic writers who the article treats as lazy despite the circumstances in the story and some other points I considered, and they were well formed and patient. Now I leave you with some respect while we can have it for each other.

I await answer, May the Force empower your victory. 03:22, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

Advertising for the SithlordpediaEdit

Hi Trip391,

I've a question. When I'm looking at all of the pages here, I notice that you make advertising for the Sithlordpedia. Excuse me when I didn't see what kind of qualifications this Wiki have, but in my opinion it's not really respectable, because there only fun writers. For example, they named Dromund Kaas "Dromnd Kaas". Lots of their few articles haven't a content. So, I'm not allowed to critizice you, but it's a little bit strange and I'll be glad when you can give me reasons why do you do that. Akt'tar (Komlink) 18:41, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

  • Sithlordpedia? I think you may be looking for someone else; I've never heard of that before. Trip391 (talk) 18:48, January 15, 2015 (UTC)
    • Ehm, I'm bewildered. I dont't know if it's only for German users like me, but at the topic of all of your pages are the sign, transladed: "The Wookieepedia exist also in German. Try it! Link Sithlordpedia". You don't know what I mean? Should I send a screenshot? Akt'tar (Komlink) 19:05, January 15, 2015 (UTC)
      • Yea, sorry, I've never seen that before. Maybe post an SH thread here to see if anyone can figure it out. I'd also suggest popping onto IRC to ask, as someone there may have an answer (I know a few Germans are typically on IRC as well). Trip391 (talk) 03:05, January 16, 2015 (UTC)
File:2015-01-15 20.40.44.jpg
        • Look at this picture. I haven't provide it with sources and and a licence, so you can reset it when the issue is clear. The sign is in German and not the best quality, but I think it's obviously that you have the sign on your pages. All of your pages. Akt'tar (Komlink) 12:35, January 16, 2015 (UTC)
          • So I just talked to another German user on IRC, and he said the problem is probably because you are using the wikia skin (oasis), he uses monobook, so doesn't see the advertisement at the top. You can change it in your preferences at the top right, and change your layout from wikia to monobook, that could maybe fix the advertisement. Trip391 (talk) 18:06, January 16, 2015 (UTC)
            • I was talking to someone else (from Germany), and they said in the wikia skin they don't see it. It might just pop up there, but disappear when you click it once, like a talk page message, or community message. Trip391 (talk) 21:25, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

Hi. It's based on language preferences. It's detecting that you're a German user and letting you know that there is a German Star Wars wikia. The Wikia Jedipedia has a different URL structure than most wikias (there is no [name] in its URL) so it's not detecting Jedipedia. I'll see if Jedipedia can be suggested for German users here instead. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:32, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

  • Hi. I just checked with my team (I work for Wikia, in case that wasn't clear). Right now there is no way to override the default detection, meaning we can't make the banner display the Wikia Jedipedia instead of Sithlordpedia. This is a first iteration of this banner, however, and what you said here is a good indication of why we should be able to change which wikia that the banner points to. I'm going to push to have that functionality added, that way we can hopefully have German users see Jedipedia instead of Sithlordpedia. Because I agree with you—it should show Jedipedia instead of Sithlordpedia, as Jedipedia is a much better and more active community. The banner is, after all, meant to help international communities, and it should help the best ones possible. Thanks for posting here, it was very helpful. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:46, January 16, 2015 (UTC)
    • Thank you very much for the explanation! Sorry for the disadvantage, but I wondered why this sign is here on the wook, because you're not public to make advertising for any Tom, Dick or Harry. I'm happy that you two can clear it. Thanks. Akt'tar (Komlink) 07:59, January 17, 2015 (UTC)

  • Your formatting was incorrect, so I fixed it. Trip391 (talk) 09:19, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
    • I was just trying to provide people with a rough guide as to when this person existed in time. Because as it is, the page Gell'ach doesn't really tell you anything about the person. Also if a characeter from the Old Republic era mention his name during conversation, then he must have existed during that time period. TheSpaceGuy (talk) 18:36, January 22, 2015 (UTC)
      • There isn't much information about the character, hence why there isn't much information in the article. In the top right corner, it now shows which publishing era the character existed in. However, the publishing eras only exist for us out of universe, and should not be mentioned in the body of the article, since the body of the article is supposed to be written in an in-universe perspective. Trip391 (talk) 18:50, January 22, 2015 (UTC)

Question Deleted? Edit

Can you explain to me why the following question was deleted from the Pakuuni Talk Page?

  • Land of the Lost Reference
  • Does anyone know if the Pakuuni system is an homage to the primitive humanoid race from the 1970's TV show "Land of the Lost"? In "Land of the Lost" the race of creatures are called "Pakuni" (plural) or "Paku" (singular). The spelling seems too close to be coincidence. -- Frank V Bonura 15:37, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
    • I'm sorry, it was my hope a more experienced editor may have known if there was a reference or knew more about the subject, having read or heard something I did not. Fielding questions like this in forums and blogs have produced fruit in the past. What I find ironic is that in the rules of this Wiki it states to "Be bold in updating pages" but I have found that boldness, on this wiki, is too often rewarded with censorship. Very little is known about the planet Pakuuni and I would think a lead to more BTS information or any information for that matter would be valued by Star Wars Fans and might lead editors, who have better access to authors programmers and producers, in the franchise, to find out more but sadly I must be mistaken. -- Frank V Bonura 16:53, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Sith infiltrator interlangEdit

I don't understand. Sith infiltrator of Sith Emperor Vitiate and Sith infiltrator of Darth Ekkage are different units. Vitiate's spies was installed throughout all galaxy before Great Galactic War and executed Vitiate's specific assignments (mentioned with theese qualities in Timeline 7, Timeline 8 and Book of Sith). Even your article was describe exactly so and russian article is about Vitiate's infiltrators - everything was right. But Cade Calrayn for some reason changed description and made substitution of Vitiate's infiltrators for Darth Ekkage's infiltrators. Why? Maybe, it's necessary to make two different articles about two different Sith infiltrators? Голограмма (talk) 04:43, April 23, 2015 (UTC)

  • I thought you were confused about why it redirected, which is why I added the Russian interlang link back in. I don't play TOR myself, so I don't really know much about the subject matter of the article, but Cade knows a lot/everything about TOR, and is the backbone of many TOR articles here, so I'm sure the change in the article was appropriate. Anakin's First LightsaberEdit

I recently read both Path to Truth and Dark Lord. Because Anakin picked up three crystals I understood that to mean that he used all three in constructing his lightsaber (why else would he pick up three?). He picked them up, went into the trance, and then completed his lightsaber. In Dark Lord however it seems to indicate that his third lightsaber, the Sith one, only had two crystals: the red synth-crystal and the dual-phase focusing crystal. GreenDragonRanger (talk) 22:40, April 29, 2015 (UTC)

I just double checked both books. Path to Truth says that the three crystals spoke to him, indicating that the Force wanted him to use all three (The Gathering, an episode of The Clone Wars comes to mind). Dark Lord however says that the Sith lightsaber mimicked Anakin's, but it does not say that they were exactly alike. When listing its features it mentioned the synthcrystal and the dual-phase focusing crystal (something not mentioned in Path to Truth or any other source for Anakin's first lightsaber), therefore his first lightsaber had 3 crystals, third had two, and I am unsure about his second (the cutaway seems to show two but the description mentions a primary crystal and focusing crystals, noting the plural for focusing crystals, so I'm not sure if perhaps there was a second focusing crystal hidden by the first in the cutaway, therefore I make no such comment on the article for his second saber, but the books clearly say how many crystals the first and third had). GreenDragonRanger (talk) 22:50, April 29, 2015 (UTC)
If you are still skeptical how about a compromise: we mention in the article that at the cave he picked up three crystals and leave it at that, and the reader can make either inference of whether he used all three or not? GreenDragonRanger (talk) 22:56, April 29, 2015 (UTC)

Please you watch this scene and after we talk. And please take off this ridiculous tag of Fanon. --Amigo29 90 (talk) 18:56, May 11, 2015 (UTC)

Mimic Sensor DecoyEdit

Sorry, I didn't make it up, but I did put in the wrong source; that's my fault. I've corrected it in the entry to reflect that it's actually from Pirates & Privateers.

Saak'ak and Eradicator Edit

My edits were canon and correct. Why did you undo them? --RROGON (talk) 15:41, June 18, 2015 (UTC)

One Sith Edit

The consensus on lists was that the current policy didn't need to be changed because, and I quote: ' "There are certain instances where lists may still convey information in an article more practically than any other presentation form, although prose is preferred whenever possible." and "Lists basically serve the purpose of temporary repositories of information until that list can be beautified into prose that is worthy of article status. There is nothing gained by just removing them outright." '

Just because you don't like lists, you shouldn't remove one- which at this point is the only way to reasonably access said information- unless and until you're willing to work on a prose replacement. It is not against policy to have lists, only that prose is preferred. Even deleting it repeatedly makes it harder to make a prose replacement by removing the reference. ZeroSD (talk) 00:02, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

Don't undo my edits on talk pages. I understand you may have misinterpreted my post for a complaint concerning the Exile's gender or an inability to accept what was supposedly established. But it wasn't either of the 2 in any case. Keep that in mind before you jump to conclusions.--Yashuvoo Sommin (talk) 07:56, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

  • What I've said is valid. If you own a copy of the game, you'd know that the opening intro past the company logos and affiliations indicates the Exile was intended to be male chronologically. This isn't up for discussion. The game's intro says one thing, sources made by other writers say another. The source that originally talked about the exile (which is the intro of the same game the character became famous from) overwrites anything that was said afterwards in contrariety to what was already established.--Yashuvoo Sommin (talk) 08:25, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

Sith Tirumvirate Edit

I can understand the part about the unverified info, but why am I not allowed to place Nihilus's image in the right side like with Traya and Sion? The only reason I did that because all the other images were situated to the right side an for visual purposes I believe it would be better to keep it fluid. As for talk about fanon, when I made a change to the last sentence in Traya's section, I didn't make it up. I was simply trying to improve the prose of the sentence (plus, there is no official title Headmistress of Trayus Academy). Lastly, what do you mean by NPOV? ---Zach Hontiveros Pagkalinawan (talk) 11:44, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

The consensus on lists Edit

To make you familiar on the policy on lists:

" I do want to caution anyone reading this, now or in the future, that this consensus is not a blanket prohibition against all lists, nor is it justification for blindly removing lists from articles for no other reason than not wanting a list. Toprawa and Ralltiir said it best in these two quotes: "There are certain instances where lists may still convey information in an article more practically than any other presentation form, although prose is preferred whenever possible." and "Lists basically serve the purpose of temporary repositories of information until that list can be beautified into prose that is worthy of article status. There is nothing gained by just removing them outright." All users would do well to heed these words." -Toprawa and Ralltiir

'There is nothing gained by just removing them outright.' Explicit words. Your removal of lists just for being lists is against the policy according to CT. ZeroSD (talk) 18:43, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

Excuse me, do you happen to know what src means in a quote template? for example: the one on Gana Lavin's father. Thanks! Sniping is AwesomeDefeat the Sniper 13:28, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

So it's just an abbreviation for source (src)? Sniping is AwesomeDefeat the Sniper 15:07, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

Zabrak Edit

I don't believe homeworlds were specified for any of them, actually. "Dathomirian" was actually a misunderstanding on my part based on a misunderstanding of how the species were classified and I though it had already been removed. As for "Iridonian", I have no idea where that comes from. I'm not sure if there even is such a thing as an "Iridonian Zabrak." I think it's probably best if we remove all mention of anything other than "Zabrak" from those articles, which is what I am now about to do. ProfessorTofty (talk) 15:43, August 3, 2015 (UTC)

Ren & Stimpy speculationEdit

you recently removed my additions to the Renhoek and Stimsenj'kat entries that say the names are from the Ren & Stimpy Show. You write the reason is "speculation/unverified". How can this be speculation when the full names of the characters are Ren Hoek and Stimpson J. Kat? Can this be a coincidence? I would like to hear your explanation please . Maybe it is unverified by you, because a lot of people caught those easter egg references when the game came out. Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs). August 12, 2015

Talzzi source Edit

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Complete Season One uses that name to identify the language, which is a T-canon source. --AV-6R7 (talk) 06:44, August 13, 2015 (UTC)

  • In the subtitles, one Threepio begins to communicate with the Talz. From that point on, whenever someone speaks Talzzi, it shows the name in the subtitles. Before that however, it says creature speaks. - AV-6R7 (talk) 06:54, August 13, 2015 (UTC)
  • K, thanks!--AV-6R7 (talk) 07:04, August 13, 2015 (UTC)

hello! I just noticed you add Rise of the Empire era back to R4-A22 but I can't find any sources that definitively place him in that era...unless I'm mistaken...I wasn't sure what to do with it actually. Astromecha (talk) 04:13, August 18, 2015 (UTC)

  • never mind...i just rememebered Dex's Diner was destroyed in that era so therefore R4-A22 had to work there during that time. Astromecha (talk) 04:16, August 18, 2015 (UTC)

X-wing game edits Edit

I was wondering what the reasoning was behind removing the "possible appearance" tag from Lennox in the X-wing character list, while completely removing Cabbel. There is a cut scene in the game that clearly shows two characters based off of the scene from The Empire Strikes Back where they both appear. But of course, they're not identified. While removing the tag may make sense, I think both characters should be listed. --JMM (talk) 16:01, August 19, 2015 (UTC)

Let me explain further Edit

You recently removed a talk page post I made because it was about the topic not the page. However, when I was talking about a possible reference to Dune, I was trying to gather information for a possible "Behind the Scenes" section. Anyway, sorry to bother you -Sithpiciously Evil (talk) 02:21, August 21, 2015 (UTC)

Hi there. My apologies regarding the addition of canon material into the Jar Jar Binks article. I'll endeavour to write it my own words. Best regards. Andykatib 01:36, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

I don't understand what you feel I did wrong but I felt that a spanner being a tool is too generalized. I just read in the book Starwars: aftermath, that it was more than just a tool, it was a multitool. So what did I do wrong? Arinu1 (talk) 10:00, November 14, 2015 (UTC)

Darth Bane reversion Edit

The Encyclopedia is both Canon and Legends, given it existed on (technically prior to) 4/25/14. That would be the equivalent of saying Wullf Yularen's appearances in TCW are only NuCanon and not a part of Star Wars Legends. Some Legends articles also have valid info only attributable to the Encyclopedia. Only that source confirms Sila Kott was shot down in the Battle of Endor, which isn't obvious just from watching the film, and nothing else confirmed it. The rule with NuCanon is the only info that applies solely to that continuity is Canon material released from 4/26/14 and beyond. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 05:38, November 15, 2015 (UTC)

Your "Vandalism" of Niles Ferrier ArticleEdit

So I see you completely removed the internal link in the Niles Ferrier article to the article for his DP20 "The Gunship." It could have been moved to the section where it belonged but instead you completely removed it from the article as if it didn't belong there, even though it is explicitly stated in "The Gunship" article that it is Niles Ferrier's ship. That makes your deletion nothing more than vandalism. That's quite the fall from someone who is give awards to someone who is now vanalizing articles. 00:15, November 29, 2015 (UTC)

  • You add what seems to be two random words to the end of a section of an article where they have no place being and then you call out the person who reverts your submission for "vandalism"? Yes, he could have taken the time to try to figure out just what you were on about and then integrate it properly into the article where it belongs, but he was certainly under no obligation to. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:35, November 29, 2015 (UTC)
  • As Tofty said, you did not add in anything stating that "The Gunship" is Niles Ferrier's ship, you simply added "The Gunship." With nothing in the way of context for what it "The Gunship" could be, and regardless of the fact that it was in the Personality and traits section instead of a more appropriate place, writing simply two words as a sentence with no context doesn't mean anything at all, and does not belong anywhere in the article. The Wookieepedia article also would not be considered a source for the information anyway, but only the actual official sources it appears in (Wookieepdia articles can give you an idea where to look for the information, however). As you know, some people could simply add anything in, which would be poorly written and misleading, so only the source material should be used. This way the information is correct, and would not leave readers mislead or confused (or, hopefully not, wondering why there is a random two word sentence that says "The Gunship" at the end of an article). Trip391 (talk) 08:46, November 29, 2015 (UTC)

KS-23 (explaining my edits) Edit

The description "high-power, small-sized, explosive pellets which scattered from the barrel when fired to cover a wide area and do the most damage possible over short and medium ranges" combined with the mention of a underbarrel tubular magazine makes it sound a lot like a shotgun. It sprays pellets out of the barrel when fired, that's almost word for word what a shotgun does! Plus, the people who were writing it likely conflated "Gunpowder-actuated firearm" with "slugthrower."

As for trivia... well, I can't prove that the Hammer is based off the real-life KS23 shotgun. I'll give you that much. But the name's the same. Doctor Fluffy (talk) 21:56, December 4, 2015 (UTC)
