Resizing picsEdit

May I ask what your motive is behind this? We upload large images on here, under 100 KB of course, but don't have to resize them because you can type a image sizer in the code on the article pages, like so, [[:File:Clonetrooper.jpg|300px|thumb|A clone trooper]], where 300px is the horizontal size in pixels. -- Riffsyphon1024 01:39, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Where did you get the drawing of palpatine declaring his New Order? Respond to me on my talk page. Thanks. Θ 17:38, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)

IssuesEdit

I don't know why you are so determined to prove me wrong, but YOU are wrong concerning the Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars). It is COMPLETELY illogical to say "better known as the Battle of Coruscant" since there was already a Battle of Coruscant in the Clone Wars before the one in 19 BBY! That is why I had kept putting in "sometimes referred to as" instead of your "better known as" nonsense. If I remember correctly, it was YOU that first moved the page to "Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars)" and I was the one that started saying move it back. Therefore, you moving the article in the first place was completely wrong, and now this. If you notice, moderators had REVERTED what you wrote many times to what I wrote. Therefore, why do you keep putting in your text? And don't say "because the average Star Wars fan refers to it as the Battle of Coruscant", because this is Star Wars Wikipedia, where we put the facts down to show the average fan what an event, such as this, was really called. Xilentshadow, first it was the moving of the Second Battle of Coruscant page and now this. I don't know if you ever played baseball, but in the game, three strikes mean you're out. So far, it seems you have two. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 23:19, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • First of all, moderators said nothing to me. Maybe in your eyes I have "two strikes." My reasoning behind the placement of "better known as" is because of this:
  • Imagine you're a new star wars fan, and you hear everybody talking about the battle of coruscant. So, you go to the Star Wars wiki, and search for it, and see "Second battle of Coruscant." Well, what's this nonsense? Oh wait, it's actually the "Second Battle of Coruscant"? Wow, this is pretty interesting, I never knew that before. Oh, I see.
  • I mean, its a fact that a lot of people know it as "Battle of Coruscant." Seeing as tons of people don't know about the Star Wars wiki, I would say that the battle is more commonly, or "better known as" the "Battle of Coruscant." This is of course the more logical route, as it isn't "sometimes" referred to as the "Battle of Coruscant," but in fact mostly referred to that way.Xilentshadow900 00:10, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Ohh, It looks like the first one was more of a battle after all. Right, well that makes sense. Xilentshadow900 00:15, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • Page is now unlocked. QuentinGeorge 00:38, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
        • And I changed the wording to "sometimes referred to as". Cmdr. J. Nebulax 00:41, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)
          • "Thaank you Jaaack" "You're welcome" "No, we named the monkey Jack." Xilentshadow900 00:42, 29 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Action FiguresEdit

I've noticed you, at least twice, taking action figure pictures out of article. Now, while they are not the best pictures admitedly, I actually prefered both articles with the action figure pictures in them. The Clone jet trooper article had a nice picture of a jet trooper in Mk II armor, which it now does not, and the 501st article had a nice example of a 501st trooper. I don't believe it says anywhere in the Wookieepedia rules that action figures can not be used as pictures, so I'd like to request that you do not remove them right away. At most, start up a question on the talk page and allow others to decide also. -Jaymach Ral'Tir 17:54, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • You must be new here. Posting pictures of action figures is looked down upon. Try finding pictures from the movie first, then if not, a piece of artwork, then a videogame, and lastly, action figures.--Xilentshadow900 18:23, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
    • Oh I know posting pictures of action figures is frowned upon...but you have not found pictures from any other source to replace them with. If you had done, I would have no problem with it. The problem I have is that now there's no example of a Clone jet trooper in Mk II armor, or a picture of a 501st trooper that isn't terribley dark. I just don't see the point in deleting something without replacing it. -Jaymach Ral'Tir 18:30, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
      • It's for the sake of presentation. Try editing the picture on the Sky corps page for a big of MK 2 skytrooper armor.--Xilentshadow900 18:41, 3 Dec 2005 (UTC)
  • I go on here alot and I like the original pictures from movies, art work, and video games instead of an action figure. Please, keep up the excellent work, I also use some of the pictures for display on my hotmail account.

The Grand Army Edit

Su'cuy xilentshadow'ika. After seeing quite a few of your contributions and having glanced over your user page, I think I've found a kindred soul. lol Big fan of the Mando'ade and clones too. Have to agree and say Cestus Deception was a pretty big disappointment except for Nate/Jangotat's story in my opinion. And I don't know how long ago you wrote that bit about Hard Contact but I've gotta put "Triple Zero" over it, although not by that much. What I was really hoping to ask you though was because you seem to have a pretty intimate knowledge of the GAR and a decent amount invested in its pages, do you think it would be possible to construct a rough structure for the GAR's various divisions with inclusion on the Grand Army page? Something like:

 *Third Systems Army
   *7th Sky Corps
     *212th Attack Battalion
       *Parjai Squad
     *442nd Siege Battalion

(All info coming from the Third Systems Army page)

I thought this would be a good idea since certain divisions seem to be floating all over the place and some are listed under multiple higher ranking ones. The 501st in particular seems to have a hard time finding an official "home". And with The Clone Wars coming out now, I think it might be a good time to have yourself (which I personally hold in high esteem for your Clone Wars knowledge) and some well-informed others take a look back over these type of articles and the various clone officers to make sure everything cross-checks ok. And let me know what you think of my idea. Vor'e in advance, vod. --Shadowxander 10:43, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
