Screens Edit

Hey I was wondering how you got the screenshots to be so clear, do you use a special program? I'm glad you were able to get clearer versions of my screens (I connect my webcam to my videogame consoles and the pictures always look like crap!) DarthMaul431 16:32, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks! I used sfd2mpg(found on this page) and the tooLAME MPEG encoder (look around) to convert the original .sfd cutscene files from my disc to MPEGs that I can play on my computer. The cutscene videos, in my case, ended up in the 5-200 MB range and quite clear. This won't work for all playstation games, and I had to do some research to figure out how to extract the video here (it's a little tricky to get the setup working, since it's command-line based). And it doesn't work for in-game scenes, just cutscenes. I'm going to try to extract some audio for Komari and Montross next Yrfeloran 17:44, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

"Lando Calrissian Trilogy" Edit

I'm supposed to be the Lando expert around here, you're making me look bad. ;) Thanos6 20:10, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Er, sorry if I'm stepping on your toes :). I just have Starcave on me right now, and there were a couple of missing articles like Lehesu I noticed and wanted to fill in. Yrfeloran 20:53, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

GreetingsEdit

Excuse me, but why did you revert the article on Nikkos Tyris? It is not fanon, it is material from I, Jedi Jedi Xian 21:10, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

  • For one, Tyris is not the Saarai-Kaar's husband and her child is not Tyris' (they are different species). Some phrasing in I, Jedi may have lead you to think this, but it's said the husband was crushed with other apprentices in the collapse of the dome after Tyris's death. There is no source that I know of for Tyris being a Jedi Master. Nor is he the first Saarai-Kaar, as Elegos said that the existing Saarai-Kaar was the first one. Fact Files, (afaik, don't have it on hand) has made him canonically an acolyte of Dooku's. I have no idea where you got the Komari Vosa information (is this in Fact Files?), but if you have an actual source I'd love to see it. I just don't see where you're getting a lot of the information you are posting. Yrfeloran 21:30, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
    • Ooh, I don't know about that, I'm pretty sure that he is the Saarai-Kaar's husband, and that IS his son. I knew they were of different species, which I found odd. I don't have my copy of I,Jedi to hand though, so I can't confirm that. The SWRPGNETWORK article 'I,Jensaarai' which pretty much collects all the information on the Jensaarai (with some fanon) lists Tyris as a Jedi Master, and the Saarai-Karr as his wife. It also lists him as the first Saarai-Kaar, which makes sense, since he founded the group. Again, without the book to hand, I only have my memory to work from. Tyris and the nascent Jensaarai are listed as having gone to Baltizaar, around the same time as Komari Vosa. I did imply that though they went to the planet at the same time, it's unclear if they were part of the same task force. This I got from the Star Wars Timeline Gold, which lists the Jensaarai on Baltizaar as having come from 'The power of the Jedi Sourcebook', 'The Krytos Trap' and 'I,Jedi'. Someone else has also put Tyris in the Baltizaar article as having travelled with Vosa. I think Tyris being an acolyte of Dooku is something of a continuity boob, since he IS the founder of the Jensaarai, and the Jensaarai were alleged to have been founded shortly before the Clone Wars. Regardless, I haven't read these fact files myself, so I didn't remove the reference to it. I'm surprised you just reverted the article, since the reversion still lists Tyris as the first Saarai-Kaar. I've put my edit back in, since I think it expands on canon information a lot more and is better written. If you're going to tweak it, I'd rather you just edited the article and removed the offending material than just reverted it. As I said, I'm working from memory, so I won't be able to confirm anything either way for a couple of days until I get my hands on the source material. In the meantime, if you have the material to hand, I'll just trust your judgment in editing the article. Jedi Xian 22:39, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
      • The husband is mentioned only twice... "It was a Halcyon who slew my Master and my husband that day" and "When that dome collapsed, my husband was crushed. We lost a half-dozen friends and I was left alone with three other apprentices." The first is ambiguous, the second (since Tyris's death starts the dome collapsing) implies Tyris was not the father. Power of the Jedi - okay, looking at this, it does have information that puts Tyris at Baltizaar, but since Nejaa's death has been retconned to after Jedi Trial (during the Clone Wars), some of the POTJ stuff is inaccurate in that it puts Nejaa's death before the Clone Wars. It does firmly say that Tyris was a Jedi Knight. (Also, Komari Vosa was not leading the mission to Baltizaar, she actually smuggled her way onto the mission and was not supposed to be there). Latest source has Tyris as Dooku's minion, I think. Remember, Dooku could well have recruited him before the Clone Wars. Dooku's a Sith since shortly after Naboo. When Elegos is talking to the Saarai-kaar, he says she's the first one and she's fashioned the Jensaarai out of what she learned from her master, and she says "Yes, this is so." Working off primary sources is always better than secondary ones, and there's a lot of secondary stuff of uncertain lineage in there. Do you know if this 'I, Jensaarai' article you saw is the same one that was in Polyhedron, or a fan creation? I was a little hasty, but your edits raised several mental red flags. I'm moving this to the Tyris talk page. Yrfeloran 23:46, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Image cleanup Edit

Great job with the image cleanup.  :) Keep it up! WhiteBoy

Gardulla the Hutt Edit

  • I'm working on Hutt articles. i was wondering if you could get three screenshots for me. i can't find my Bounty Hunter guide, so ditto on the gardulla pics. inside the book. I hope this is no problem. Just tell me the names of the images and I'll post them on the Gardulla page and my Userpage as well. Here are the three shots:
  • 1.)Gardulla on her balcony
  • 2.)Gardulla on her throne with Jango in it (It's what you see when you walk in the throne room, the first shot.)
  • 3.)Gardulla's tail in the Krayt Dragon's mouth. thanks again. --Jabbathehuttgartogg 03:27, 22 August 2006 (UTC) Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF
    • P.S - on your userpage, jango is dancing for Jabba the Hutt, not Gardulla. You can tell by the head. gardulla would have a fatter head and it looka more like Jabba. Plus jabba tosses a frog in the game as he talks with Fett, and a frog is in his hand.
      • I can't get screenshots for any scenes that aren't in the cinematics, and those aren't. I've converted the cinematics on my disc to a PC-readable format, but not the rest of the game. Sorry I can't help! Yrfeloran 03:54, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
  • That's fine. But do you have the Guide to the game? can you get gardulla pics. from that? --Jabbathehuttgartogg 04:27, 22 August 2006 (UTC) Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF Jabba'sDesilijicClanTattoo-SWFF

Get through Gardulla's palace faster Edit

  • By punching the Dragon's belly numerous times at the begining of the level, it takes you to the scean where Gardulla gets eaten. then when it's done, you see the dead body of the dragon on the ground. Run strait until you see the next cut scean, and you've finished the level. That's my little secret.

- Do you know if you can ge Three Pics. for me from the guide. I don't need all the others. I can't find it and it's been weeks and I need it for Jabba and Gardulla. jabba's nominated for a featured article and the "Rival's end" section needs some pics.

  • Jabba and Jango pic. from guide
  • Gardulla and Jango pic. from guide
  • Gardulla's tail in dragon's mouth from guide. Thanks,

Givin help Edit

Some of the information you added to the Givin article a long time ago isn't in my sources. Not that I'm doubting it, mind you: I just think it can be found in one of your sources instead. If you can add the reference, please do. Cheers, —Silly Dan (talk) 23:25, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

ImagesEdit

I saw that you were working on sourcing images a while ago. I though I'd let you know that there is a group of us that are working on this very problem atm. We have managed to reduce the number of unsourced images from the 6000s to the 4000s. If you'd like to help please do. I've been keeping a running tally here. --Eyrezer 08:34, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

WP:NEGTCEdit

  • Yrfeloran, I'll look at Dooku again tomorrow, and I've also placed Dooku as Main Focus for WP:NEGTC, so you have whatever resources we can muster to assist with getting him passed to FA. Thanks again for your work. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 00:06, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Dooku Appearances Edit

  • Hey, I noticed you add Episode 1 Adventures: Search for lost Jedi, Dooku as unnamed. I was trying to find mentioned of him, but no success. All I could find was Darth Sidious talking to Nute Gunray. Can you write sentence where he is mentioned? Thanks. Jedi Marty 00:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
    • "When he had been a Padawan, his tendency for kindness had often confounded his own Master." Yrfeloran 01:05, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
      • Yes, you are right. I overlooked that although I know from Legacy of the Jedi second part Qui-Gon Jinn was Dooku's Padawan before. Good job. Keep up the good work and thank you. Jedi Marty 08:15, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Dooku in Revelation Edit

  • I dont know i just added that he was mentioned in Revelation because his name was on Revelations page. sorry if that was incorrect.--Darth Revanon 12:57, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Pit Droid Award Edit

left|thumb|The Pit Droid Award of Diligence I, Graestan the Mighty, hereby bestow upon you, Yrfeloran the Mundane, the Pit Droid Award of Dilidence for your repetitive, mind-numbing work creating articles for Wizards of the Coast web enhancements. You efforts did not go unnoticed; indeed, they have clogged up the recent changes for a solid chunk of the evening. May you continue your never-ending work in things I have neither the patience nor the motivation to endeavor. Thank you! Graestan(Talk) 02:31, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I second this award. I was going to give you a cookiee myself for the Expanded Universe series, but no need for a second one :p --Eyrezer 03:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

CTEdit

  • Per our policy on CTs, your Forum:Quote length can be closed, but since you mentioned that you were going to create a second section, I wanted to give you the option to either start a follow-up forum or expand on the original one. Either way, just let me know what you end up deciding. Thanks. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 16:07, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Koon in Clone Wars Edit

in the Clone Wars novel, aren't Unduli, Koon, Mace, and Repal just (Mentioned only)?JustinGann 21:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

  • No, because they're actually in the scene, even if some don't do anything. Yrfeloran 21:48, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
    • My bad. OK, I removed the (Mentioned only). I promise I was NOT trying to start an edit war;) I just didn't recall Page 15 all that well!JustinGann 22:05, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

DookuEdit

I stumbled onto this article Rise of the Empire. It has some info on Dooku that you may not be familiar with. Personally I was unaware he kept his identity as a Jedi a secret while starting the CIS. You may like to have a look over it and see if there is anything new in it. --Eyrezer 05:19, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey, Yrf. Also on the subject of Dooku, on the Inquisitorius review forums there has been a request put up to review Dooku due to some incomplete information. The forum can be found @ Wookieepedia:Inq/Dooku (review request). I thought I'd let you know, just in case you're interested in updating it — I don't really want to see it stripped of its FA status anytime soon. Cheers, Greyman(Talk) 12:47, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

MohsEdit

Hi Yrfeloran. I wanted to check on the status of Mohs. While there are some objections you have fixed and are waiting to be struck, equally there are some unanswered objections. Do you still plan on addressing these? --Eyrezer 22:39, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm missing my copy so there's some factual issues I can't address right now. Yrfeloran 01:47, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
