Usk was a planet[2] that was located within the Usk system of the galaxy's Hutt Space region,[1] near The Cairns part of that region, and lay on the hyperlane called The Dead Road, which connected it to the worlds of Elgit and Saqqar. A smaller hyperlane linked the planet to the world of Moralan. Usk was the homeworld of a sentient species that was enslaved at some point in their history, however later the species became extinct, leaving their home planet a derelict world.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- "And then there were names I thought sounded strange and vaguely foreboding, such as Saqqar and Usk."
- ―Jason Fry
The planet of Usk was first mentioned in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book co-authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the planet in grid square T-10.[2] In a 2009 article published on Suvudu.com, Fry noted that the name of Usk sounded unusual and somewhat foreboding to him.[3]
