The Vaal asteroid field[4] consisted of several asteroid fields located in the Vaal system, intersecting the planet Vaal's orbit. In the year 0 BBY, Darth Vader's TIE Advanced x1 sustained damaged upon entering the Vaal asteroid field, causing it to crash-land on Vaal.[5]
