Lady Valarian was a young female Whiphid who owned a hotel/casino called the Lucky Despot in Mos Eisley.

She was very beautiful by Whiphid standards (though most non-Whiphids found her grotesque and disgusting) and had expensive taste in perfume and other fineries. She killed her first husband, D'Wopp, for accepting a bounty offer during their wedding reception. She was also a rival to Jabba the Hutt and kept multiple operatives in his palace, such as J'Quille, Darian Gli, and at least one B'omarr monk.

After the death of Jabba, Lady Valarian became the big shot of Tatooine. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion she tried to find a way to make profit off of the conflict.
