The Vanarian Tree Eater was a type of creature[1] that originated in[3] the Vanaria system of the Outer Rim Territories' Rseik sector.[2] It had a tail the end of which resembled a small, cute-looking alien.[1]
At one point during the Galactic Civil War, a group of individuals encountered a Vanarian Tree Eater, initially mistaking its tail end for a small-sized being.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Vanarian Tree Eater was introduced in Star Wars Gamemaster Handbook, a 1993 sourcebook published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In the book, the creature was mentioned in a hypothetical scenario used to illustrate how the gamemaster player utilizing elements of surprise could enrich the game experience for the other players. This article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[1]

This article treats the Vanaria system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Vanarian Tree Eater species.
