The Varada sector was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It contained the Koboh system[1], which itself contained the planet Koboh, its Shattered Moon, the nebula Koboh Abyss, as well as a planet hidden within the abyss, known as Tanalorr.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The Varada sector first appeared in canon as a hallucination in Cavan Scott's 2022 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm.[4] It was first pictured in the reveal trailer for the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.[5] However it was first identified as the Varada sector in the reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy.[1]
In Star Wars Legends, it was first mentioned in "Adversaries: Characters for the Star Wars: New Republic Campaign," a roleplaying game supplement written by Bill Slavicsek and Michele Carter, published in Polyhedron 97 in July 1994.[6]
