- "Repeat: the bridge is under attack. They're using vertigon gas, and I think they're shooting the crewers—"
- ―Commander Gilad Pellaeon
Vertigon gas was a white, nonfatal gas whose effects included loss of balance and slurred speech.[1] In 0 ABY,[2] during his sabotage of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Chimaera,[1] Storm-hair[3] Warlord Nuso Esva used vertigon gas to incapacitate the Star Destroyer's crew. The warship's third bridge officer, Commander Gilad Pellaeon, donned a breath mask before Esva's gas could incapacitate him. The commander then reported that the warlord was using vertigon gas to the Chimaera's emergency channel. Shortly after, Pellaeon spoke with the Star Destroyer's sensor officer, hearing the officer's voice slurring with the aftereffects of Esva's gas.[1]
