The Vesarians were the inhabitants of the Vesari system.[1] At some point before 18 BBY, a group of Vesarian students had matriculated to Imperial City University. When they were deemed dissidents by the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Sector Police under the leadership of a centurion stepped in and killed at least some of the dissidents. Pol Haus, the prefect in charge, later deemed the incident the actions of "rogue elements." The centurion was detained to await trial for the events.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The Vesarians are mentioned in Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, a novel written by Michael Reaves and published by Del Rey in 2008. The novel fails to indicate whether Vesarian refers to a sentient species, a planetary demonym, or some other social group.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. The Vesari system appears to be the location of one such world.
