―Carson Teva's "Index of Organizations"[3]

Vigo, meaning "nephew" in the Falleen language, was a title used for high ranking members of the Black Sun syndicate who were responsible for managing entire planets, star systems or sometimes sectors of space for the syndicate.

Vigos would insulated themselves from their criminal activity using a network ofbosses and underbosses[1] however at times they would post bounties on high profile targets; a fact that bounty hunter knew would like be highly profitable.[4]

History[]

The Sith Lord Darth Maul was tasked with eliminating a number of Black Sun's Vigos by his master Darth Sidious shortly before his mission to the planet Naboo[5] in 32 BBY.[6] By the beginning of the Clone Wars, most of Black Sun's top Vigo position were held by members of the reptilian Falleen species[7] however members of other species did also hold the Vigo title, such as the Hutt Ziro Desilijic Tiure. In the first year of the war Ziro tasked an assassin droid designated KRONOS-327 with killing a fellow Vigo of Black Sun however the droid fail his mission and Ziro had him dismantled for parts.[8]

Later during the Clone Wars in 19 BBY,[9] a Falleen senior Vigo named Ziton Moj was at Black Sun's fortress on the planet Mustafar when Maul, his brother Savage Opress[10] and a group of Mandalorian called Death Watch arrived to request an audience with Black Sun. Moj led the group to meet with the Black Sun ruling council. After the council refused to join Maul's Shadow Collective, Opress slew the members of the ruling council and Maul installed Moj as Black Sun's new leader.[11]

During the New Republic one of its Adelphi Rangers, Captain Carson Teva sent an "Index of Organizations" to new recruits, which provided information on criminal organizations compiled by New Republic Intelligence. In the report on Black Sun, Teva reported that it was run by Vigos from several noble Falleen families based on Mustafar.[12]
