Vinette Robinson (born in 1981) is a British actress who portrays Wrobie Tyce in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. In the film, she is credited as "Pilot Tyce." She is known for starring as police sergeant Sally Donovan in the BBC series Sherlock. Other roles of note include the teacher Liza Bahar in the Black Mirror episode "Hated in the Nation" and civil rights campaigner Rosa Parks in the Doctor Who episode "Rosa".
Robinson's first audition was for the role of Queen Amidala in the 1999 movie Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace; a part which ultimately went to Natalie Portman. Robinson struggled with the audition and had problems with her strong Yorkshire accent. According to herself, she "didn't know what to do and I was really nervous and I felt like I had to talk really proper, like I tried to talk properly," adding that she also had to "sit up really straight".
