The Virgillian Free Alignment was a resistance group operating in the Virgillia system against the system's government supported by the Galactic Empire. It was one of the early allies of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
History[]
The Virgillian Free Alignment, supported by the Rebellion, fought against Virgillia system's government and its ally, the Galactic Empire, in a civil war.[1]
In approximately 1 ABY[2] , a representative of the Virgillian Free Alignment named Dagger met with Rebel pilot Arvel Crynyd to deliver news of the death of one of his former students.[3]
Eventually, the efforts of the Virgillian Free Alignment proved fruitful. Virgillia was freed and joined the New Republic. There it was a stalwart supporter of the Resistance, which was fighting against the Empire's successor state, the First Order. The Ninka, a Free Virgillia-class Bunkerbuster, was in the Resistance navy under the command of Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo.[1]
