"And there's the Rushlight Equinox. Can't wait to talk to Vishla about whatever her crew got up to while hyperspace was down, though I doubt they've got any stories that compare to ours."
―Leox Gyasi[1]

Vishla was a female individual who owned the starship Rushlight Equinox during the High Republic Era. She was a friend of Leox Gyasi, captain of the Byne Guild transport Vessel. When Gyasi returned to the Core Worlds planet Coruscant after the Great Hyperspace Disaster, which had temporarily halted hyperspace travel[1] around 232 BBY,[2] he noted that the Rushlight Equinox was present and told his copilot, Affie Hollow, that he was eager to hear from Vishla what her crew had done while grounded. However, he suspected that any stories her crew had to tell were less interesting than the adventures of the Vessel's crew aboard the Amaxine space station.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Vishla was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: Into the Dark, written by Claudia Gray for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]

  2. The Star Wars Book dates the launch of the Starlight Beacon, which is depicted as part of the events of The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, to 232 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 232 BBY according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. As such, the rest of the novel's events must also occur around 232 BBY. The High Republic: Into the Dark takes place simultaneously with Light of the Jedi and also depicts the launch, so the same dating must apply.
