A voritor lizard was an aggressive, venomous reptilian creature commonly found on Dantooine.

The voritor lizard was a reptilian species native to Dantooine,^[4] although it could also be found on Dathomir.^[5]

The average voritor was two meters long,^[2] with a fan-like dorsal spike.^[1] The beast was a solitary hunter of the plains of Dantooine that moved slowly until they come in for the kill.^[6] When one decided to attack, it charged its target with incredible speed.^[2] Bols were its favorite preys.^[7] The voritor lizard was a venomous predator^[6] with tough hide resistant to blaster shots.^[2]

A race of voritor lizard, horned voritor, had pointed scales protecting its eyes and ears.^[3]

On Dathomir, wild voritors were tamed by Nightsister. Those Sisters of the Voritor used the beasts to guard the borders of the Nightsister territory.^[5]

In 1 ABY, Dusque Mistflier and Finn Darktrin were attacked by a voritor lizard on Dantooine. Dusque was forced to use a thermal detonator to kill the beast to save her life.^[2]

Following the Battle of Yavin, the Rodian hunter Qakkee tasked a spacer to kill six voritor lizards on Dantooine and brought him back their horns.^[8] Around the same time, the collector Jener Mich tasked a group of spacers to hunt and kill an unreasonable number of voritor lizards on Dantooine.^[9]

Voritor lizards appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,^[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.^[10]

In Star Wars Galaxies, all voritor variants, including the horned voritor, were exclusively present on the planet Dantooine.^[1] However, the The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia incorrectly stated that the horned voritor was native to Dathomir.^[3] The presence of voritor lizards on Dathomir was later validated in the reference book Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side.^[5]
