This article is about the god. You may be looking for the targon named after Voru.

Voru was a god of the ancient Coruscanti[1]—the residents of the Core Worlds planet[2] Coruscant—alongside Matari.[1] By 232 BBY,[3] during the High Republic Era, Lina Soh—a human female native to the planet Daghee[4]—served as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and had named a[1] female[5] pet targon after Voru, and her brother after Matari.[1] In 231 BBY,[6] the reporter Rhil Dairo reflected on Soh's reputation and her impact on the galaxy, noting the symbolic significance of her targons' names and the statement it made.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Voru was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[7]
