Vorzyd sector was one of nine sectors that comprised the Commonality, a political confederation in the Outer Rim Territories. The Vorzyd sector contained the Vorzyd Cluster.
During the time of the Galactic Empire, the Vorzyd sector was under Imperial control, and presumably included Deepdock fleets for repairing various ships in the Imperial Navy. However, it was later attacked by the Rebel Alliance some time after the Battle of Endor, via a strategy formed by General Carlist Rieekan, who was inspired by information included in the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, the official field manual for the Imperial Military.[5]
