Vworkka were a species of carnivorous raptor native to the desert planet Jakku that preyed upon skittermice. Vworkka would perch silently and patiently waiting for their prey. When the child Gallius Rax saw the corvette Imperialis landing on Jakku[1] in around the year 30 BBY,[2] it reminded him of a vworkka.[1] In the year 5 ABY,[3] the skittermouse that accidentally re-activated the battle droid Mister Bones hoped that it would not be eaten by a vworkka or ripper-raptor while doing so.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Vworkka were first mentioned in the novel Aftermath: Life Debt, which was written by Chuck Wendig[1] and released on July 12, 2016.[5]

- ↑ In an interlude in Aftermath: Empire's End set twenty-five years prior to the Battle of Jakku, which according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas takes place in 5 ABY, it is mentioned that it is only the second time Gallius Rax has left Jakku and the first time in ten years, the first of which occurred in the epilogue chapter of Aftermath: Life Debt. Therefore using simple math it can be concluded that the prologue chapter in which Rax saw the Imperialis land on Jakku and the epilogue in which Rax leaves Jakku for the first time take place in around 30 BBY.
