"Hunting has always been a hobby of mine, but age and poor health pretty much ensure that I can't do it any more. So here's the deal, I'll trade my security beacon for some hunting trophies."
―Walker Luskeske, to a spacer[1]

Walker Luskeske was a Human male who lived on Naboo during the Galactic Civil War. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, he served as security officer at Stonewall Labs, along with Kippy Martin, under the orders of the Security Chief Vance Groten. After he retired, Luskeske resided at Dee'ja Peak. He was also a hunter.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Walker Luskeske asked a spacer to kill mountain spineflaps, including Sprywing, and narglatches in the Gallo Mountains and bring him wings, talons and fangs as trophies. In exchange, he gave the spacer a security beacon from Stonewall Labs.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Walker Luskeske appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Walker Luskeske was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25", a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

"Walker Luskeske" is a clear wordplay of "Luke Skywalker."

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
