Wanbo was a Hutt that led the Hutt Cartel on Teth[1] in 40 BBY.[2] He operated out of a palace. Known for his stupidity and heavy spice habit, Wanbo acquired his position due to nepotism, and it was well-known that his human majordomo, Thurible, was truly in charge on Teth.[1]
In 40 BBY,[2] Wanbo got in an altercation with Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi. This led to Qui-Gon taking the Hutt hostage as a part of his escape plan, though possession of the Hutt was relinquished when his majordomo in turn managed take hold of the seventeen year old Kenobi.[1]
