Warner Bros. (officially Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.) is an American entertainment company founded in 1918 by brothers Jack, Harry, Albert and Sam Warner.

Relationship with Lucasfilm[edit | edit source]

Warner Bros. distributed the Star Wars: The Clone Wars motion picture, marking the first time that a U.S. theatrical Star Wars film was not distributed by 20th Century Fox, which distributed all six films in the main Star Wars saga before Lucasfilm Ltd. was acquired by the The Walt Disney Company in 2012.

Warner Bros. is part of WarnerMedia which encompasses Cartoon Network and Turner Network Television, which both aired the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series. Warner Bros. also publishes LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for mobile devices and LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Before Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Warner Bros. also distributed George Lucas' 1971 film, THX 1138.
