The Wavecrest-class frigate was a model of Separatist warship designed by the Givin of Yag'Dhul during the Clone Wars.
Wavecrest-class frigates participated in the Confederate Operation Durge's Lance. Following the Battle of Duro, these Givin ships patrolled the Corellian Trade Spine alongside Geonosian dreadnaughts and Banking Clan Munificent-class Star Frigates.
Givin combat engineers had previously towed asteroid bodies into position to prevent safe hyperspace travel throughout the Trade Spine. This artificial maze was made navigable by Separatist ships, like the Wavecrests, thanks to the Givin's astrogation calculations made in 12th-degree hyperometry and Helrossi-principal Octratics equations.
