Purrgil were a space-faring whale-like species.

Whales were a type of creature that existed in various locations across the galaxy; which included the Cartusion whale,[1] the ruhau-whale,[2] and the oceanic starwhale species.[3] The cyborg creatures that formed the whale-ships,[4] and the space-faring purrgil were also considered whale-like species.[5] Additionally, the aiwhas—non-sentient species[6] of winged cetaceans native to the planet Kamino[7]—were also called "air whales."[8]
