The Pertorqus candus, more commonly known as the whiteworms or crystal worms of Mygeeto, were enormous creatures that inhabited the towering ice crystals of the Outer Rim world. Nesting in burrows dug out of the crystalline world's crust, the whiteworms' skin absorbed energy from the planet's core and converted it into food. Equipped with a circular maw of jagged teeth for chewing through the planet's crystalline mountains, whiteworms had been discovered as early as the Ruusan Reformations of the Galactic Republic and had been noted in the Archives of the Jedi Order.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Mygeetan whiteworm was a species originally seen as concept art for Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith that went unused as the storyline was mapped out. However, the species was given a name and canonized with its inclusion in The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force.
