The Windwailer was an ancient rock formation on the planet Ahch-To.[2] The violent storms and rainfalls of this world had shaped the rock and given it a very peculiar shape, vaguely reminiscent of the paw of a gigantic animal pointing up to the sky.[3] While training with a lightsaber, Rey accidentally split the Windwailer in two with overly energetic practice of cadences.[2]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ The Windwailer was destroyed in the events of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates to the same year as the Hosnian Cataclysm. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places the Hosnian Cataclysm in 34 ABY, The Last Jedi must take place in that year.
