Administrators |
- "The hallmark of a well-managed organization is not the absence of problems, but whether or not problems are effectively resolved."
- ―D.H. Stamatis
Administrators are experienced and trusted Wookieepedians who have been elected by the community to carry out a wide range of tasks, both technical and political. To this end, administrators have "sysop rights," a set of tools that allows them to perform operations that ordinary Wookieepedians cannot, including the deletion of pages and blocking troublemakers. Administrators are often seen as community leaders, with users turning to them for advice and information, but they are not imbued with any special authority and are equal to everybody else in terms of editorial responsibility.
Bureaucrats are administrators with additional privileges, including the management of user rights. Like administrators, they are elected by the community.
Meet the team

Ayrehead02 |
Ayrehead is an English administrator who was introduced to Star Wars through seeing The Phantom Menace in cinemas as a child and has immersed himself in everything the franchise has had to offer since. He has been around on Wookieepedia since 2010, and so is well versed in Legends, but focuses on canon these days, spending most of his time nominating minor background characters from the films.
|
Cavalier One |
Cavalier One is a British administrator who began editing Wookieepedia in 2007. A fan since seeing the original films as a kid, it was the wider Expanded Universe, starting with The Thrawn Trilogy, that cemented his love of Star Wars.
Cav currently focuses on working on subjects relating to the first Star Wars roleplaying game by West End Games. The game might be over 30 years old, but Cav is still constantly finding new articles to create.
|
Darth Culator |
Culator has been a fan of Star Wars longer than many Wookieepedians have been alive. After seeing Return of the Jedi in the theater in 1983 at age 2½, he was incurably addicted.
Aside from Star Wars, Culator also enjoys a variety of other sci-fi. He also enjoys meat, beer, cigars, and being loudly and unapologetically American.
|
DarthRuiz30 |
DarthRuiz30 is a Wookieepedia administrator who joined in 2014. Ruiz, who has been a Star Wars fan since he can remember, grew up with Dave Filoni's Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which made him more interested in the franchise. On Wookieepedia, he mainly supervises the Recent changes on the lookout for vandalism.
Ruiz is a 22-year-old Mexican who is in his fourth year studying mechatronic engineering. Besides Star Wars, Ruiz enjoys playing video games and watching TV shows and movies.
|
Green tentacle |
Green Tentacle is a British administrator who started editing Wookieepedia in 2006. He became a Star Wars fan after first watching the original trilogy in the early 90s and was hooked after discovering the Expanded Universe through the Thrawn Trilogy and the X-Wing games soon after. Much of his work on Wookieepedia has been focused on EU subjects, particularly anything to do with old LucasArts games.
|
Grunny |
Grunny, an Aussie, first joined Wookieepedia back in 2005, but really dove into regular editing in 2008. He has been an obsessive fan of Star Wars since getting the original trilogy VHS boxset as a child. Grunny enjoys both Legends and the new canon, but the strength of nostalgia always brings him back to Legends material, particularly the X-Wing novels, WEG RPG books, and the many comics series. He has a particular interest in editing articles about Star Wars technology, starships, and small characters from the comics and RPGs.
|
Imperators II |
Imperators II has been editing Wookieepedia articles since 2007 and to this day can't understand how he made do without Wookieepedia before that. Imperators reviews status article (Featured, Good, and Comprehensive) nominations as a member of all three respective review panels. His main love on the site, however, is writing up articles on astrographical subjects, such as planets and star systems.
|
Master Fredcerique |
Master Fredcerique, also referred to as Fred for short, is a Texifornian administrator who has been editing since 2008. His only major claim to fame is being tangentially part of Star Wars canon as a Batuuan who works in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. Fred is unapologetically Texan, though he lives in California, which is merely one of his many contradictory traits.
On the wiki, Fred likes to contribute to articles related to his homeworld of Batuu, as well as ones related to the 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars series. His religious beliefs include the doctrine that the Nelvaan Vader vision is superior to the Mortis one.
|
Supreme Emperor |
Supreme Emperor, or SE, is a Canadian administrator who has been active since 2011. He first became obsessed with Star Wars after picking up used copies of the Thrawn Trilogy around 2005, which led to him obsessively collecting any Star Wars material he could get his hands on. SE always keeps an absurdly long list of project ideas by his computer.
Outside Wookieepedia, SE works in retail management, and enjoys reading, gaming, and working away at his neverending list of home renovation projects.
|
Tommy-Macaroni |
Tommy-Macaroni, known as just Tommy, is a Wookieepedia editor and bureaucrat who joined in 2016. In real life, Tommy is a 22-year-old student currently studying a clinical psychology MSci course.
On Wookieepedia, Tommy is a member of the Inquisitorius, AgriCorps, and EduCorps, and so spends much of his time on the site reviewing articles. His in-universe specialty is articles on Star Destroyers and other Imperial starships, which he will occasionally write up and nominate for status.
|
Toprawa and Ralltiir |
Toprawa first discovered Star Wars after seeing the original trilogy's Special Edition release in theaters in 1997 and has never been the same since. He firmly believes The Empire Strikes Back is the greatest film ever made, and he owes most of his Star Wars love to the Expanded Universe, particularly Shadows of the Empire.
Through Wookieepedia, Toprawa has become a passionate Star Wars book collector and now has the absurd goal of compiling a library with every Star Wars Legends source ever published.

Xd1358 File:AdminBox-Flag-fi.svg |
ecks, as he likes to be called, has been around since 2009. He is a self-described fan of Wookieepedia rather than Star Wars and thus spends the majority of his time editing the technical side of Wookieepedia. To this end, he also operates a bot called EcksBot. Additionally, he is a member of the three reviewing panels and credits much of his profiency in English to reviewing status articles.
Originally from Finland, ecks is in his mid-twenties and currently lives in Sweden, attending his fourth year of medical school.
|
Zed42 File:AdminBox-Flag-nz.svg |
Zed technically joined Wookieepedia in 2016, though it was not until 2018 that he became a frequent contributor, a decision he wishes he had made earlier. Having only watched the movies and read the occasional Expanded Universe novel beforehand, Zed first got into editing through the comics of the new canon continuity.
On Wookieepedia, Zed often directs his focus toward astrographical articles and droid characters. He is admittedly a fan of media outside of Star Wars and likes to study history.

Responsibilities
Administrators are expected to participate in carrying out tasks that require sysop rights, including but not limited to:
- Category:Candidates for speedy deletion — delete pages marked for deletion as appropriate
- Category:Files to be renamed — move files as appropriate
- Forum:Administrators' noticeboard — respond to any new requests

- Wookieepedia:Trash compactor — participate in and close threads where consensus has been reached
- Wookieepedia:Vandalism in progress — clean up vandalism and block offenders
Becoming an administrator
Experienced and trusted Wookieepedians may be nominated and elected by the community to become administrators. To be eligible for becoming an administrator, you must meet the requirements listed on Wookieepedia:Requests for user rights, including a period of consistent, quality editing to the site:
- Adult candidates (18+): at least six months of active contribution
- Underaged candidates (13–17): at least eighteen months of active contribution
- →See Forum:CT:Admin Age, Wookieepedia:Mofferences/January 25, 2009, and Forum:CT:Admin age exception
A request for adminship ("RFA") lasts for two weeks, after which a bureaucrat will grant you sysop privileges if the request is successful. New administrators are asked to exercise care in using sysop tools, especially the ability to delete pages and their history, to delete images, and the ability to block IP addresses. You can learn about your newfound powers at the Administrators' how-to-guide. You should also take a look at the pages linked from the Administrators' reading list before using any of your sysop abilities. Your fellow administrators are more than happy to help you, as well.
Extended leaves of absence
In the event that an administrator enters into a protracted absence from the wiki, some form of explanation, be it even a simple "I'm taking a break" or {{Vacation}} template, is desired. In the absence of any explanation, if an administrator does not edit or use admin tools for four months or more, the following steps are to be taken outside of the RFRA process:
Length of absence | 4 months' absence | 5 months' absence | 6 months' absence |
---|---|---|---|
Action taken | attempts to communicate will be made | warning that removal will occur at 6 months | Bureaucrat will remove sysops |
Activity requirements
In order to maintain their sysop rights, administrators are required to meet a regular level of productivity:
- Administrators and bureaucrats must make at least 250 mainspace edits in any six-month span, excepting prior explanation of inactivity.
- Bureaucrats must make at least 500 total edits combined in the mainspace, Wookieepedia:, File:, MediaWiki:, Template:, and Category: namespaces in any six-month span, excepting prior explanation of inactivity.
- Additionally, administrators must use their administrative tools at least once every six months.
Administrators who fail to meet any of these requirements will be eligible for immediate removal by a bureaucrat. Those who provide an explanation of inactivity should clearly state an expected date for return to activity. Failing to return to activity by the specified date without further explanation will leave administrators subject to the "Extended leaves of absence" removal process (see above).
Administrator abuse
Administrative actions fall under the Administrative autonomy policy, meaning that no administrator may overturn another administrator's decision without agreement from a quorum of administrators.
If you think an administrator has acted improperly against you or another editor, you should express your concerns directly to the administrator responsible. Try to come to a resolution in an orderly and civil manner. However, if the matter is not resolved between the two parties, please post on Forum:Administrators' noticeboard.
In extreme circumstances, administrators who have demonstrated a deliberate abuse of their powers over a prolonged period of time can be removed from their position via Wookieepedia:Requests for removal of user rights.
