This subpage contains instructions on how to archive past Good article nominations. The archived votes can be found here.

Successful nominations[]

Once an article has five total supporting votes, including at least three votes coming from AgriCorps or Inquisitorius members—two of which must be an AgriCorps vote—and no outstanding objections after at least a week, the article can be officially known as a "good article." Alternatively, if a nomination receives a total of five AgriCorps/Inquisitorius votes—three of which must be AgriCorps votes—with no outstanding objections before one week has passed, after a minimum of 24 hours, the nomination will be considered successful. This table can be used to determine if an article is eligible to be removed from the Good article nominations page

  • Ensure that the AgriCorps approval template has been added. If not, add the following to the Comments section:
{{ACapproved|~~~~~}}
  • Remove {{GAnom}} from article page and add "ga" to {{Top}}.
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when {{GAnom}} was added. The second date is the date that the article was given GA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the GA tick was added. For example, on Unidentified stormtrooper (suicide) the first ID is 3915732 and the second ID is 3954020.

    • When adding article to Wookieepedia:Good articles, display it like [[Bob (naval officer)]] or [[Victorious (Acclamator-class)|''Victorious'' (''Acclamator''-class)]], as opposed to [[Bob (naval officer)|Bob]] or [[Victorious (Acclamator-class)|''Victorious'']]
  • If the article was a Comprehensive article prior to becoming a GA, remove it from Wookieepedia:Comprehensive articles.
  • Paste this onto the user talk page of the nominator:
{{Subst:GA notify|article name|~~~~}}

Failed nominations[]

Nominations may be removed by AgriCorps consensus under the following conditions:

  • Idle nominations with outstanding objections for 10 days
  • Nominations whose original nominator has not edited the wiki in a month or longer, provided no one else is willing to take up the nomination instead
  • Nominations may be closed prematurely if they fall below the required standard and cannot realistically be fixed, or otherwise require such extensive improvement as to render them impractical for the nomination page

Removing nominations under the preceding conditions requires the approval of at least 3 AgriCorps members and less than 2 opposed. Any nomination may be closed early at the request of the original nominator without the need for AgriCorps consensus.

Voting to remove[]

To initiate a vote to remove a nomination, add the following under the GAN's comments section:

====Vote to remove nomination (AC only)====

The AgriCorps member who initiates the vote should state clearly why the nomination should be removed. All AgriCorps members should use the {{AC}} template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose removing the nomination.

Removing failed nominations[]

  • Remove the appropriate transcluded nomination template from the GAN page.
  • Remove {{GAnom}} from article page.
  • Add the following to talk page with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was nominated and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when {{GAnom}} was added. The second date is the date that the vote was closed the corresponding ID is that of the revision when {{GAnom}} was removed.

  • Remove this line from the bottom of the nomination page.
<noinclude>[[Category:Good article nominations|{{SUBPAGENAME}}]]</noinclude>
  • Add this line to the bottom of the nomination page.
</div>
  • Add article to GAN history, giving start and end dates (yyyy/mm/dd) and outcome with link to archived vote.

Overriding GAN objections[]

AgriCorps members have the power to strike objections on the Good Article nomination page provided the objection has been addressed and the original objector has been absent for at least a week after an "objection addressed" comment is left on the GA nom page, but only with a quorum of at least 3 AgriCorps members approving the removal of the objection, and less than 2 opposed. Additionally, GA objections can be struck by an AgriCorps member (as well as by any admin) if they do not fall under one of the rules. No vote is required.

To initiate a vote to override an objection, add the following under the GAN's comments section:

====Vote to strike objection (AC only)====

The AgriCorps member who initiates the vote should state clearly which objection needs striking and why. All AgriCorps members should use the {{AC}} template when voting, and clearly indicate whether they support or oppose overriding the objection.

When the decision has been taken to override an objection, add the following as a comment under the objection, in addition to striking it:

{{Acstrike|~~~~~}}

GA status review[]

The AgriCorps has the ability to strip an article of GA status.

Probation[]

With the approval of at least 3 AgriCorps members and less than 2 opposed, an article being considered for removal of GA status can be placed on probation as follows:

  • Add {{GAcleanup}} to the top of the article. If the article has already undergone probation one or more times, add the number of the probation as a parameter, i.e. {{GAcleanup|second}}.
  • Follow the redlink in the above template to the probation page, which should have preloaded the header and sections.
  • List the issues that need rectifying under "Things to do" and state the meeting at which the article was placed on probation under "Removal of GA status."

After a probation period of at least two weeks, a second AgriCorps vote is required to decide whether or not to remove GA status. This vote requires 3 AgriCorps members to agree on the outcome, with less than 2 disagreeing.

Keeping GA status[]

If GA status is kept:

  • Remove {{GAcleanup}} from article page
  • Add the following to talk page (replacing {{Ahf|status=GA}}) with appropriate dates and IDs (the number at the end of the URL in the page history). The first date is when the article was placed on probation and the corresponding ID should be the revision of the article when {{GAcleanup}} was added (if the template wasn't added on the nomination date, pick the first revision after it was nominated). The second date is the date that the article was taken off probation and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when {{GAcleanup}} was removed. For example, on Zayne Carrick the first ID is 1982312 and the second ID is 2059191.

{{Ahf|status=GA}}
  • On the AgriCorps probation page, state the meeting at which the article's GA status was kept under "Removal of GA status."
  • Change the category on the probation page to:
[[Category:Wookieepedia Good article probation pages archive]]

Removing GA status[]

If GA status is removed:

  • Remove {{GAcleanup}} from article page and change "ga" to "fga" in {{Top}}
The second date is the date that the article was stripped of GA status and the corresponding ID is that of the revision when the GA check was removed. For example, on Missile Boat the first ID is 2056762 and the second ID is 2095534.
{{Ahm
|date=Probation date
|oldid=Probation ID

}}
{{Ahf|status=FGA}}
  • Replace {{GA}} with {{FormerGA}} on the talk page. A parameter can be used if the AgriCorps probation page differs from the article name.
  • On the AgriCorps probation page, state the meeting at which the article's GA status was removed under "Removal of GA status."
  • Change the category on the probation page to:
[[Category:Wookieepedia Good article probation pages archive]]

Reduxing GAs[]

The AgriCorps Redux process is an active extension of AgriCorps meetings, wherein Good articles that have been updated, rewritten, or otherwise overhauled so significantly as to require a review of a section or of the entire article are placed. Articles that are Reduxed will be given reviews by AgriCorps members, and when the required number of votes in favor of the article being passed are acquired, the article will pass its Redux review and will retain its Good status.

If a GA is decided to undergo a Redux review on the GAN page, do this:

  • Add {{GAredux}} to the top of the reduxed GA. If the article is already under probation, replace {{GAcleanup}} with {{GAredux}}. If the article has already undergone Redux one or more times, add the number of the Redux as a parameter, i.e. {{GAredux|second}}. However, if this is the article's first Redux, leave the parameter blank. If the article has already undergone probation one or more times, add the number of the probation as a parameter, i.e. {{GAredux|probation=second}}. However, if this is the article's first probation, leave the parameter blank.
  • Follow the redlink to create the Redux page, which should have preloaded the relevant sections.
  • If the article is already under probation (the link to the probation page in {{GAredux}} is blue):
    • Follow the link to the probation page and state the meeting at which the article was Reduxed under "Removal of GA status."
    • Add the following above the Comments section:
===Redux review===
*[[Wookieepedia:Good article nominations/article name (Redux review)]]
  • If the article is not already under probation (the link to the probation page in {{GAredux}} is red):
    • Follow the redlink to the probation page.
    • Create the page with the following:
<div class="darkbackground1" style="background:#EEEEEE; border:1px solid #AAAAAA; padding:5px">'''[[Main Page|Wookieepedia]] &gt; [[Wookieepedia:AgriCorps]] &gt; {{PAGENAME}}'''</div>
[[Category:Wookieepedia Good article probation pages]]

<!-- write after this line, please -->
==[[Article name]]==
===Removal of GA status===
*Reduxed at <meeting number>. ~~~~

===Redux review===
*[[Wookieepedia:Good article nominations/article name (Redux review)]]

===Comments===
  • Add {{/article name (Redux review)}} to the bottom of the GAN page.

Keeping GA status following Redux[]

When the article has received three supporting votes from AgriCorps members and has no outstanding objections, do this:

  • Remove {{GAredux}} from the Reduxed page.
  • Add the following code to the article talk page (replacing {{Ahf|status=GA}}):
{{Ahm
|date=Probation date
|oldid=Probation ID
|process=GAR
|result=Kept
}}
{{Ahm
|date={{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTDAY}}, {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}
|link=Wookieepedia:AC/{{Subst:PAGENAME}}
|process=GA
|oldid=Kept ID
}}
{{Ahf|status=GA}}
  • Follow the link to the probation page.
    • Change the probation page's category to [[Category:Wookieepedia Good article probation pages archive]]
    • On the probation page, state the date on which the article's GA status was kept under "Removal of GA status."
  • Follow the link to the Redux page
    • Add this line to the top of the Redux page: {{subst:GAredux archive|kept}}
    • Remove this line from the bottom of the Redux page: <noinclude>[[Category:Wookieepedia Good article Redux pages]]</noinclude>
    • Add this line to the bottom of the Redux page: </div>
  • Remove {{/article name (Redux review)}} from the GAN page.

Removing GA status following Redux[]

If the article fails Redux review, due to 2-week-old unaddressed objections, and with the support of at least three AgriCorps members, do this:

  • Remove {{GAredux}} from the Reduxed page and change "ga" to "fga" in {{Top}}.
  • Add the following code to the article talk page (replacing {{Ahf|status=GA}}):
{{Ahm
|date=Probation date
|oldid=Probation ID
|process=GAR
|result=Removed
}}
{{Ahm
|date={{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTDAY}}, {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}
|link=Wookieepedia:AC/{{subst:PAGENAME}}
|process=FGA
|oldid=Removed ID
}}
{{Ahf|status=FGA}}
  • Replace {{GA}} with {{FormerGA}} on the talk page. A parameter can be used if the AC probation page differs from the article name.
  • Follow the link to the probation page.
    • Change the probation page's category to [[Category:Wookieepedia Good article probation pages archive]]
    • On the probation page, state the date on which the article's GA status was removed under "Removal of GA status."
  • Follow the link to the Redux page
    • Add this line to the top of the Redux page: {{subst:GAredux archive|lost}}
  • Remove article from Wookieepedia:Good articles.

Striking items from the meeting agenda[]

To remove an item from a future meeting agenda, a consensus of four ACs is needed. This can be achieved via IRC or using the meeting page itself. If you use the meeting page, format it like this:

*[[Article]] - update needed. --ExampleUser1
**Updated. --ExampleUser2
***'''Vote to remove article from meeting agenda (AC only)'''
***{{AC}} ~~~~

When four ACs have signed, the article can be struck from the agenda.
