- For God's sake, make him an administrator! We've been battling a serial blanker for the past few minutes and he should be able to stop it with a click. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 00:36, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

I know that there are a ton of legitimate reasons to oppose my self-nomination. I also know that I haven't endeared myself to some admins such as QuentinGeorge and SparqMan, and that I've had some rough spots with DannyBoy7783 and VT-16. But I would like to point out that I have worked diligently to try to protect the Wiki from vandals. I've also been very active in welcoming new users. And WhiteBoy is probably going to oppose me just for this, but we are under seige by multiple vandals right now. I'm here a lot of the time, so i can move quickly against them. I'm just trying to help. -- SFH 19:06, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- This should be an obvious addition to the team. SFH has diligently worked on articles, reverted them, fixed them, and done everything in his limited power to save face. -- Riffsyphon1024 19:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm a little bit torn on this. SFH is undeniably an excellent contributor, and has been very diligent in fighting vandalism; however, I'm somewhat concerned over some of his reversion summaries [1] [2] [3]. Although his sentiments are understandable, they aren't exactly professional and cast a shadow of doubt (in my opinion) on his ability to remain objective. That said, SFH is a very vigilant and valued contributor – I think compelling arguments could be made either way here. RMF 00:35, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- I guess it seems that SFH and I have something in common. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 00:38, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- I do apologize over those. I am sorry. And my recent statements over the recent Pepsilon vandal were less than pleasant. However, that last part against Pepsilon was an attempt to play on his ego. He needed to show that he was superior to us, that he was smarter. It was an attempt to buy us time, distracting him with insults, while he added comebacks, giving me and Jack Nebulax enough time to revert his edits and keep track of his edits. I do sincerely apologize for those comments. When you spend time reverting vandalism, they start to get at you. That is probably what they want, and I should be better, but you do make a point. I should act better. -- SFH 00:42, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
FWIW, I don't necessarily have a problem with someone nominating themselves, otherwise we probably would have precluded that in the nomination rules when we were first setting them up. What I do have a problem with is people treating others with disrespect...especially if they're in a leadership position. As RMF pointed out, this is less then professional and isn't befitting an admin. On the other hand, SFH has been one of our best contributors. So I'm witholding my vote either way for now until I have a little time to evaluate and see what others think. And regarding Jack's comment, it seems to me that adminship is a bigger deal than just making reverts take one click instead of two or three. WhiteBoy 01:48, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well, then I'm afraid that you will have to vote against me then. I'm admittedly not very active in the community discussions, not that active in VFDs or policy making...I don't know how to talk on the IRC yet! For me, adminship is a way to get a decrease in vandals. It really was a decision made in the heat of a moment of frustration. I just had to try...I heareby revoke my request for adminship. Sorry everyone. I would just be getting made an admin for the wrong reasons. -- SFH 01:57, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- WhiteBoy, I didn't mean it to sound like that's the only thing administrators do, because I know they do a lot of great things to help Wookieepedia. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 01:39, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well, since people still seem to want it, I guess its still on. -- SFH 01:48, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
