Template:Shortcut This page is for the nomination of new userboxes.

Before you create

Before you propose a userbox, read the following:

1. No nonsense or joke templates. What you think may be funny may not be to everyone else, so it's best to just keep it on your userpage.
2. If you are creating a Star Wars themed userbox, try and keep it OOU (i.e. "This user is a fan of Jedi" is good, but "This user is a member of the New Jedi Order" is not).
3. Any offensive/racist/provocative userbox proposals will be deleted on sight, and the user warned. If the user persists, he will be banned.

To use this page:

1. Use the current date as a header, and add the code of the proposed userbox underneath (use the following syntax: {{userbox|color1|color2|text-left|text-main}}).
2. Add sections underneath for "Support", "Object", and "Comments". Your fellow Wookieepedians will use these sections to vote for, oppose, or comment on your design.
3. Once a majority has been reached, and two weeks have passed, the userbox will be created as a template for use in the community. If the nomination fails, the template must not be created regardless. If it is, then it will be deleted on sight, and the offender warned.

I made this since there was a Ewok Support Userbox yet I think nowadays Gungans need more support than Ewoks... :P Anyway I find this Userbox funny, yet in a kind way towards Gungans, and I think at least some people would use it. So, it's your vote. -Tyranus- 20:25, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

        • Actually, yeah, my first response was to "oppose" this because I knew I wouldn't use it. However, I also know the Ewok template is rarely used, and I remembered that the Ewok template exists because of the controversy surrounding them. Well, the Ewok controversy is child's play compared to that caused by Gungans. And not that serious, doll-killer child's play either, but the simple kind.   • I'm curious as to why you think that. I mean, "interest" could work as well, but when I created the userbox, one of the purposes I had in mind was to point users in the direction of "fleet junkies" in case they needed help with a fleet related question on a page.     • So are you saying to keep it as "knowledge" or change it to "interest?" It's a small point, but the use of the word "that" in your answer confused me. Okay, I tried it with the fleet junkie image, and it just looks sort of . . . bland. The fleet junkie image becomes so small that it looks like a red dot with a black Impstar silhouette on it- two colors only and not very good clarity. For now, I'm sticking with the Impstar picture that was originally there. Besides, how many people have seen the fleet junkie image? Atarumaster88 14:56, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

        • I just changed the box to show the fleetjunkies.jpg image. I also changed the color because the blue clashed with the red on the picture.           • Sorry I was unclear there. I did mean that changing it to "interest" seemed like a good idea. Let people express their specific interest in a field, but let their level of knowledge speak for itself.
