Keep[]
- Keep, but rewrite in NPOV. RMF 02:55, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- Same as RMF. Snoop 18:59, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- We still don't have a policy on which fansites deserve articles, but as this site is (a) not just another message board, (b) has its own domain name, and (c) has been in operation for five years, I'm fairly certain this site's article qualifies. —Silly Dan (talk) 04:01, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- KEJ 17:38, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Kuralyov 15:46, 5 July 2006 (UTC) After looking around, I think this is a notable enough site. It's helping to sponsor events at ComicCon, for one. Kuralyov 15:46, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Keep votes from anonymous users[]
Note: According to the rules regarding votes on this wiki (which are basically the same as most other wikis), users who have not signed up with a registered username don't count when tallying up the votes. At the discretion of administrators trying to see if consensus has been reached, the same goes for newly registered users whose only contributions are related to the article being discussed. This does not mean that they cannot comment, however. —Silly Dan (talk) 04:01, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- I vote to keep it. The language used is harmless and the site is self is quite well known in some circles. I've even seen fan art for the comic featured on the site on DA before. —Unsigned comment by 207.144.179.234 (talk • contribs).
- I vote to keep it (being the author and all). It's my first attempt at a Wiki, so I apologize if I did it wrong. Feel free to edit it to conform to this site's policies. CreatureCantina.com is very well know in Star Wars collecting circles, and we've been referenced from major sites like RebelScum and TFN on multiple occasions. It's a comedy site that's been around for over five years and has quite a following. 64.9.53.3 03:51, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

- I also wouldn't be opposed to a NPOV rewrite. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 00:44, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- Having all of these fan sites here is pushing it. We should make a list, say List of Star Wars fan sites with sections for each site, and make the actual site's page a redirect. Anyone agree? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 00:47, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm with Nebulax. Havac 18:53, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- The version I read was NPOV and looked like to be an ad. I think this is the same thing as it was with Shadowscourge. - TopAce 18:57, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- As above. --SparqMan 18:57, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Can you get any vainer? " its real purpose is to spotlight Bill Cable's Original Artwork in the hopes that people will see it and commission new pieces". -- Riffsyphon1024 04:22, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- [1] "Shameless self-promotion", indeed. Demolish. - Sikon [Talk] 08:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Comments[]
- I don't know how notable this site is, and the way it is written now reads like a vanity page. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 00:44, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- Vanity? Hardly. A quick read of the articles and updates would show a consistant string of simular subject matter intended only for comedy. Granted some of it's self-negative, but the whole site is pretty much just for laughs and thus most harmless
- I was referring to the article on this site, not CreatureCantina.com itself. StarNeptuneTalk to me! 13:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Nebulax, we have a page at List of fan sites that may be something similar to what you're talking about. Re: this site, I'm voting keep because it: (a) seems at least semi-notable from google check, (b) is regularly updated, and (c) has its own domain name. However, it does a NPOV rewrite. RMF 02:57, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- That's what I was talking about. I say that we just make all of the fan site articles redirects to that list, where each fansite gets a one or two sentence summary. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 19:11, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- To add some support to whether the site deserves an article, not only has CreatureCantina.com been around for over five years, we've posted nearly 1500 articles (1494 going into this week). In addition, Google Image searches for major characters such as "Luke," "Vader" and "Chewie" turn up images from the site on the very first page. It's been around a long time, and has a pretty vast footprint for such an esoteric site. Hopefully that info will help its case. 64.9.53.3 04:32, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Would the current rewrite qualify as NPOV? 68.45.153.20 13:37, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
