JMASEdit

Support

  1. For the past few months, JMAS has been nominated for WOTM but sadly lost both in May and June. JMAS deserves the WOTM for July :) He's a great contributor who endlessly supplies the wiki with .ogg audio files and high quailty images. JangFett Talk 01:15, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  2. Same reason as in past three months. MauserComlink 01:47, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  3. I had to vote now for i am going 2 disney world soon, anyway if JMAS dosen't win im going to screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! --Jedijake123 02:41, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  4. Per my reasons last week. JMAS has been a major contributor to this site for much longer than I have. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 08:51, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  5. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 18:31, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  6. Same reasons as last month. JMAS is long overdue. Culator is not indicating how small they appear in stubs and those images look perfectly fine at that size. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:33, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
  7. Darth Paulus JaingHead (May the Force serve you well!) 13:07, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
  8. Qui-Gon Reborn Enter the realm of the fifth dimension... Jedi symbol 07:02, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
  9. Lost a close one last month, I believe he's a very good user and deserves it this month. Kilson Likes PIE 01:48, 06 June 09 (UTC)
  10. Soresumakashi and Jinzler are great users, but JMAS is long overdue, and he hasn't only participated to the file namespace. Pranay Sobusk ~ Talk 07:28, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

  1. Same reason as usual. Have you seen the crap he's been uploading lately? This guy regularly defecates on Wookieepedia and you want to give him a freaking medal for it. It just boggles the mind. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 01:41, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

  • In defense of JMAS, those two images Culator mentioned are fine examples of what JMAS can do with source images such as those two. MauserComlink 01:47, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
    • The first one is a JMAS abomination to begin with, the second looks as good as anything from Galaxies when it's not ineptly isolated from the background. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 01:48, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
      • When you look at those two images, as they appear IN the stub templates at 20-25px in size, as they were intended to be viewed, they look fine. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 01:52, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
        • JMAS did a terrific job removing that blue hue background from the pie image. And with a little more work around the black edges, it will look even better. If his images were "crap" he probably wouldn't have uploaded them from the start :) JangFett Talk 01:54, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Alright, enough. Votes and that's it on here, please. Graestan(Talk) 01:57, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

JinzlerEdit

Support

  1. Jinzler has been an absolute powerhouse working on Living Force articles. This is an area of the Wookieepedia where there were dozens of sources not present on the Wook, with literally hundreds of articles to be written. Slowly but surely, Jinzler has been working through these sources and writing up all the articles that accompany them, including taking some of these to GA (along with some articles from other RPG sources). It is a huge effort, and one which goes largely without any credit, so he gets my vote for this month. --Eyrezer 02:40, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  2. In the rush to create new articles once new info comes out, an awful lot of crap gets slapped on a page because people can't be bothered to format properly. Jinzler demonstrates a great deal of patience and diligence in methodically working through 100s of redlinks and taking pride and care in his work, without making a song and dance about it. -- Harrar (Villip) 12:37, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  3. Nothing against Soresu, but I've Jinzler's work around here, and he's been very diligent about it. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 18:14, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  4. I wish I have half his will power.--ToRsO bOy 23:15, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  5. He makes invaluable updates to articles, doing the nitty-gritty kind of thing most of us detest. Chack Jadson (Talk) 00:27, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Xell KhaarEdit

Support

For hard work on the List of all Star Wars media, being friendly and a great help to the site, he's well deserving of this award.JonusAngelusTalk 1:15, June 24 2009 (UTC) (Vote struck per policy)

Oppose

  1. Rude, wants things his own way, copies from Wookieepedia without giving credit to Wookieepedians like you, insulting other users in page histories, and lacks the ability to work with others (basically tells others to go away). --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 19:53, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

You know, I almost feel we should have a couple of days for nominations before voting starts. It's still the 1st, and votes are flying in before there is a chance to even nominate users. --Eyrezer 02:40, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I agree. It might be worth having the first day as a nomination day or something similar. Grunny (Talk) 02:49, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Conversely, you could just make sure you're around to nominate whomever you want to win the next month as soon as the vote closes, which is usually around 0:00 UTC on the first day of the month. Graestan(Talk) 12:44, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
    • ...something that might not be possible for every person wanting to nominate. I can see the point. --Skippy Farlstendoiro 12:52, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

It actually sounds like a good idea to allow a brief nominations-only window. Someone should write that up on the CT. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 18:10, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
