Neutrality[]

Here is something I noticed in several articles, considering NPOV:

I think Wookieepedia, and I consider it acceptable, is expressing more or less, partially some pro-Jedi and pro-Rebellion mood in some articles, consistent to Lucas' view. I have witnessed it in many circumstances, example: describing the Galactic Empire as 'evil' or 'cruel', the words 'fortunately' or 'unfortunately' when some battle outcomes are positive or not towards the Alliance or the Republic, speaking about 'seeing the truth' when talking about a redeemed Jedi etc.

The present article, under policies, state: NPOV, or neutral point of view means that articles should not be biased, and should represent differing views on a subject fairly.

This is NOT a neutral point of view, but this is fine by me, because, as I said, this is also the view presented in the movies and the whole saga.

However there are fans who have 'allied' themselves with the Empire or find Darth Whatsisname or Moff Blahblah cool, enjoy playing Star Wars: TIE Fighter and Force Commander, trigger the dark side ending in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II etc etc (my bud is one). If someone writes in an article ' unfortunately the Rebels had the upper hand in the battle of Endor and marked the end of the glorious Empire' this would ring a bell as non-NPOV.

I think that this article should mention and clarify some things: Is the positive mood towards Republic/Jedi/Rebellion politically correct or not? if yes, is it also OK if we show a pro-Empire/pro-Sith mood in our article? if not, why? are we supposed to comply with Lucas' point of view therefore and be pro-Jedi and con-Sith? or should we be totally grey everywhere and always? Writers rules of engagement[]

The link in this article to "Writers rules of engagement" is incorrect. Anyone got the real link? — SavageBob 13:56, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Typos and odd info on this page[]

So this article actually has some typos in it. Plus it states that you can "even edit this page" but you really can't. It's a protected page...

Everyone can edit?[]

I think you should not write something like Everyone can edit pages in Wookieepedia — even this page! on a Semi-protected page, seems like some kind of bad joke to newcomers.--78.34.202.191 17:01, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

How To Post Something On a Brand New Talk Page

I think that people should know how to edit a talk page for an article that's just been created. An admin should edit this page to tell you how. Unsigned comment by 24.89.238.162 (talk • contribs).

  • There is a little box on the top of the talk page with the Wookiepedia logo. In the box, there is a little hyperlinked sentence that reads "Click here to start a new topic." Click it. 49.147.162.236 02:03, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
