Wyrg-jerky was a type of jerky that could be found on the Outer Rim planet Akiva. After Temmin Wexley's mother, the pilot Norra Wexley, left Akiva to join the Rebel Alliance[1] in 1 ABY,[2] he began caring for his aunt Esmelle and her wife, Shirene, by delivering weekly packages of food. The packages often included breads and fruits, and occasionally contained wyrg-jerky or arguez sausage. Three years after leaving, Norra returned to Akiva and was informed by Shirene of the self-sustainability Temmin had gained while she was away, indicating the food packages as corroboration.[1]
