X-Wing Rogue Squadron 14, also labeled as "The Warrior Princess, Chapter 2", is the fourteenth issue in the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron series of comics. It was released on December 26, 1996 by Dark Horse Comics.

Publisher's summary[]

When the royal court of Eiattu 6 came to Rogue Squadron to collect their princess—Plourr Ilo, who was unaware of her heritage—they did so to help put an end to their planet's internal rebellion. They reasoned that a strong figurehead might pull the people together—what they couldn't know was that a strong-willed princess might have her own view of how things should be run.

Plot summary[]

Members of Rogue Squadron patrol the swamps of Eiattu 6 on the backs of thuvasaurs. Dllr Nep hears Imperial blaster fire nearby as Wedge Antilles investigates the site of a previous People's Liberation Battalion (PLB) attack on an Imperial base. Despite Plourr's protests, Wedge allows her legal husband and second cousin Count Rial Pernon to fly with them to give the other Rogues air support. Before the Rogues become overwhelmed with troopers and TIEs, a group of PLB troops arrives led by Sergeant Ashaad, who embraces the Rebels as fellow enemies of the Empire. At base, PLB leader Count Arian Laabann of the Priamsta invites Plourr and her compatriots to dinner.

That night, Wes Janson and the other grounded Rogues attend a fiery speech held by Harrandatha Estillo, Plourr's long-lost brother and leader of the PLB, who asks Janson about his sister. At the Primsta dinner, Plourr renounces the nobles and refuses them a place in Eiattu's future, likening them to poison.

Elsewhere, a captured PLB fighter is tortured by an Imperial officer. Though he resists giving up any information, he is greeted by a man who appears to be Harran. "Harran" breaks the man's neck and the officer embraces him, claiming that he will soon rule Eiattu and that nobody will be able to stop them.
