The X10-D Droid Brain was a model of droid brain that was utilized for autopilot in starships. It could be controlled via a comlink with an authorized voiceprint. One such droid brain was installed on the Hound's Tooth, a modified YV-666 light freighter owned by the bounty hunter Bossk.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The X10-D Droid Brain was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Starships and Speeders, a 2020 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying game.[1] The droid brain originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1996 reference book The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, written by Bill Smith.[2] It later made its first appearance in "Running the Sisar," an adventure module in Secrets of the Sisar Run, a 1997 supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]
