The YT-700 was the second model of light freighter in the YT-series produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, following the YT-450. It was an undistinguished vessel, and failed to attain any popularity in the galaxy. Unlike all of its successors in the YT-series, the vessel did not have a saucer-shaped deck plan.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the new Star Wars canon, the YT-700 was first mentioned in the 2020 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying supplement, Starships and Speeders.[1] The starship originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Wind Raiders of Taloraan, an article written by James L. Cambias and published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 5 in 1995.[2]
