This Star Wars Legends article contains information from Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight that is affected by the Star Wars: The Clone Wars project.

The continuity of Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight was never established by Lucasfilm.

Yahi'i was a species of plant with stalks that could be easily cut down when they were ripe.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] while near the Zi-Zhinn Marketplace on the Galactic Empire's capital planet of Coruscant, Jedi Master Even Piell thought that a group of Imperial stormtroopers he was fighting would cut him down like a ripe yahi'i stalk if he attempted to retreat.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Yahi'i plant was first mentioned in Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight, a 2008 novel written by Michael Reaves.[1] On March 11, 2011,[3] "Citadel Rescue," an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, retconned Even Piell's death to occur in the episode,[4] instead of the novel,[1] making it ambiguous how the events of the novel fit in with the altered continuity.
