This article is about the dish. You may be looking for yalbec queen stingers.

"Of course, most of us can't afford an actual Yalbec stinger, so I whipped up this recipe in hopes of capturin' the same exquisite flavors at a fraction of the cost. Sure, they may not be the real deal, but this batch of stingers is anythin' but bad!"
―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook[1]

Yalbec Stingers was a dish created by the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs that consisted of sliced, spike-shaped yellow and red vegetables stuffed with a white-and-green filling. Tuggs made the dish in order to try and replicate eating the real stinger of a Yalbec queen, which he had previously had provided to him by the antiques dealer Dok-Ondar during the last Life Day festival prior to the publishing of his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook.[1]

Tuggs considered the real stinger sweet and sumptuous but also expensive and hard to acquire, so he tried to recreate the flavor at a fraction of the cost. Satisfied that the dish was not bad, he included the recipe in The Life Day Cookbook, which was released at some point after he published his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Yalbec Stingers were created as a recipe for the 2021 Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe uses cream cheese, sour cream, a garlic clove, fresh parsley, fresh chives, fresh basil, thyme, salt, black pepper, and mini bell peppers.[1]
