This article is about the slave. You may be looking for the letter.

Yirt was a slave of the Rakata species's Infinite Empire and the pack leader of a group of Force-sensitive child slaves. Yirt had gray skin, white teeth, black hair, and white eyes, and like the other slaves, the child was tattooed with a green letter from the Aurebesh alphabet—in Yirt's case, the letter Yirt—on Yirt's forehead[1] and limbs.[2] Yirt obtained the position of pack leader through strength and aggression, but when the slave tried to pick on a young Human named Xesh, another slave named Trill defended Xesh and used the Force to throw Yirt across the cell. Having been challenged and defeated, Yirt was left at the mercy of the other slaves, who attacked their former tormentor as Trill and Xesh retreated to another corner of the cell.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Yirt was first shown in a flashback scene from Trill's past in Dawn of the Jedi: The Prisoner of Bogan 2, the second issue in the The Prisoner of Bogan story arc of the Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi comic book series, but it did not identify the character's species or gender.[1]
