Yoda's quarters were the private living quarters of the last Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Jedi Master Yoda's private chambers served him from his appointment to the Jedi High Council to the dissolution of the Order during the Great Jedi Purge. Following the Galactic Empire's seizure of the Temple, High Inquisitor Malorum took up temporary residence within Master Yoda's old room.

These quarters were assigned to Grand Master Yoda upon his appointment to the High Council. Within these chambers, Yoda would meditate on the Force and mentor any Jedi requesting counsel.[2]
Master Yoda's quarters were open to all who needed guidance, with private meetings scheduled upon request. During his early years of training Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi would visit Yoda and they would prepare shoo bread and wurr together while discussing the burden placed on Kenobi by the deceased Master Qui-Gon Jinn.[3]
Following Jedi Kenobi's report of the creation of a clone army on Kamino for the use of the Galactic Republic, Master Yoda left Mace Windu's quarters and entered into deep meditation, searching the Force for ways to cut through the increasingly thick pall of the dark side. Amidst his ruminations, Yoda felt Padawan Anakin Skywalker's inner turmoil as he slaughtered a group of Tusken Raider's on Tatooine. While the Force did not provide any of the details of Skywalker's pain, Yoda heard the voice of the deceased Master Qui-Gon Jinn urging Skywalker away from making a terrible choice. Master Windu soon after entered Yoda's quarters as the Grand Master came out of his trance and showed concern for Skywalker's fate.[2]
Immediately after the First Battle of Geonosis, Jedi Kenobi was sent to the apartment of Senator Padmé Amidala by Master Yoda to warn the Senator that pursuing a relationship with Padawan Skywalker would not benefit either of them. Reporting back to Yoda's quarters, the Grand Master scolded Kenobi for allowing the relationship to get to such a dangerous point and told the Knight to train his Padawan to let go. Soon after, Master Windu joined Yoda to meditate on the news of a possible threat lurking on the planet Zigoola. Delivered to the Council by Knight Kenobi, Windu and Yoda questioned the validity of the report and eventually decided that they should not divert any troops towards a threat which hadn't yet revealed itself. Windu later revealed his need to discuss his feelings with Yoda or else he would not be able to function. Yoda encouraged him to release his fear and follow the ebb and flow of the Force. They then moved onto discuss the upcoming Battle of Bothawui and how to lure General Grievous. After sending Kenobi to Zigoola, Yoda sensed through the Force Kenobi's call to him for help. Yoda quickly contacted Senator Amidala and sent her to recover Kenobi.[4]
Masters Yoda and Windu met in the former's room to discuss the role of the Jedi in the Grand Army of the Republic. Master Windu was unhappy to agree with the Supreme Chancellor's decision to appoint the Jedi as generals. Yoda concurred, but warned there were too few active Jedi and was weary of the fact that several had refused to return to Coruscant. Master Tholme reported via hologram that he had still heard no news from Jedi Quinlan Vos and warned that he was most likely continuing work on his spy network within the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[5]
The Grand Master spoke with Jedi Kenobi and Skywalker regarding the situation on Lanteeb in his chamber, events from which were brought to Kenobi's attention by Senator Bail Organa in secret to prevent a crisis. After meditating on the information, Yoda reluctantly agreed to send the two on an undercover mission to discover what the Confederacy of Independent Systems was doing on such a backwater; provided that the Special Operations Brigade arranged false identities for them. Within days of the assignment, Yoda summoned Master Kenobi to his quarters again to take tea with him, an invitation typically exclusive to members of the High Council. While sipping the fragrant tea, Yoda discussed with Kenobi the darkness that had plagued the young master since his return from Zigoola. Yoda warned that death and loss awaited Kenobi on Lanteeb and to take caution and trust his feelings if he sought to prevail.[6]
Later in the war, Masters Yoda, Windu, Tholme, and Ki-Adi-Mundi were present in the Grand Master's quarters when Master Agen Kolar reported on the apparent defection of Jedi Quinlan Vos to the Separatists. Windu and Tholme agreed with Kolar's findings and sent the Zabrak to capture Khaleen Hentz and bring her to the Temple. As Kolar signed off, Mundi was unhappy that they were forced to lie to Kolar, but Tholme insisted that it was important to keep Vos' undercover assignment top secret and Kolar would only perpetuate their subterfuge.[7]
Throughout most of the war, Yoda remained on Coruscant as consultant to the Supreme Chancellor and advisor to the Jedi Council. Yoda was meditating in his room in search of the elusive Darth Sidious when the Separatist Navy invaded the capitol. Rushing to his window to witness the assault, the Grand Master instantly began overseeing the Order's reaction to the attack and attempting to raise all available Jedi in the Core and Inner Rim Territories for assistance.[8]

Days after the attack and the successful counter-invasion tactics of the Republic Fleet, Yoda granted Jedi Skywalker a private meeting in his quarters. Plagued by visions of the death of someone close to him, Yoda encouraged the young Jedi to release himself of attachment and let the Force guide the hand of fate. Skywalker sat quietly through the meeting, though privately dismissing Yoda's advice as typical Jedi dogma. Soon after the meeting, Yoda departed his chambers for the final time on a mission to the war-torn planet Kashyyyk. While away from the capitol, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was discovered to be the elusive Darth Sidious. One of the only individuals in the galaxy to discover this terrible truth, Yoda was prepare for the attack that besieged him during Order 66. However, the Temple did not survive Operation: Knightfall, a military movement undertaken by the 501st Legion.[1]
While the Temple lay in ruin, not all of its chambers went unused. Assigned to the Temple, High Inquisitor Malorum set up his offices in the former residence of the exiled-Grand Master. When Darth Vader arrived for a meeting with Malorum, the ex-Jedi Ferus Olin, who had managed to infiltrate the Temple with the help of his friend Trever Flume, used the time to break into the office and look through Malorum's files for signs of the rumored Jedi Prison. Before he could finish, Darth Vader and the Inquisitor walked into the room, causing the infiltrators to hide amidst the rubble in the hall outside. As Vader began to argue with Malorum, Olin and Flume attempted to evade notice; however Vader began whirling the Force around the office causing debris to rattle and fall lose of the ceiling. The grate behind which Olin was hidden shook free, revealing him to the Dark Lord. Using a burst of Force-assisted speed, Olin grabbed Flume and hurled himself out the window of Yoda's old quarters, using the Force to wing into the Tower Atrium below.[9]

Located off one of the hallways that wrapped around the central shaft of the High Council Tower, the Grand Master's quarters were hexagonal and bare, with shaded windows framed by smooth pillars. Yellow-hued, the chamber contained few pieces of furniture, including an organiform table, bed, and three tuffet meditation pads,[2] some of which were adorned with Yoda's crest. The door to Yoda's quarters was also adorned by his crest.[1]
During the Clone Wars the chamber walls were covered in tapestries and the floor littered with lit candles.[6] Following the Battle of Thustra, Yoda placed a rare flower from the gardens of his fallen friend King Alaric, in a vase in his chambers.[10]
After the fall of the Order and Inquisitor Malorum set up his office in the chamber, the room was largely shattered. The chairs had been moved to accommodate Malorum's desk and after Darth Vader stormed into the room and expressed his anger with the Inquisitor, the room's ceiling became greatly distressed and buckled.[9]
Behind the scenes[]
In the shooting script of Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan Kenobi's report from Kamino is received in Yoda's quarters, though in the final film, the scene takes place in Mace Windu's quarters—which was originally going to be an office room, before adopting the style of Yoda's chamber.
