- "Ah, it's just a low-grade flesh-eating virus. Makes Zabraks' horns fall out. Embarrassing, not life-threatening."
Zabrak Scalp Necrosis was a relatively low-grade flesh-eating virus that afflicted the Zabrak species around the time of the Galactic War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The virus, which caused its victims' cranial horns to fall out, was cured when a doctor developed a vaccine for it. The fame the doctor gained from the achievement led to his appointment as acting head of the Republic Health Administration.

Zabrak Scalp Necrosis was first mentioned in the BioWare–LucasArts video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, during the conversation "Opportunity Knocks" with the Jedi Knight class' companion character Doc.
