Zalorians were the inhabitants of Zaloriis. During the Imperial Era,[1] which began in 19 BBY,[2] and prior to the Battle of Hoth[1] in 3 ABY,[3] the Zalorians fought the reigning Galactic Empire on Zaloriis. The human male Maximillian Veers was among the Imperial combatants, and his actions against the Zalorians demonstrated the cunning and courage that led to his promotion to the rank of general in the Imperial Army.[1]

The Zalorians received a canon mention in Adam Gidwitz's 2015 children's book So You Want to Be a Jedi?, a retelling of the[1] 1980[4] film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.[1]
Zalorians had originally been mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Prima Games' official strategy guide for the 2001 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds,[5] before appearing in the game itself. In Legends, the Zalorians were the Human inhabitants of the planet Zaloriis, who also fought against the Empire and Maximilian Veers.[6]
