Zonama Sekot was an astronomical object located in the Unknown Regions[1] in grid square F-13 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[2] It was situated in an otherwise empty and unexplored area in the neighborhood of the planets Ahch-To and Rakata Prime,[3] westward of the desert world Jakku, which was located in the Western Reaches of the Inner Rim.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Zonama Sekot appeared on the galaxy map included with Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook in 2013. Zonama Sekot was then mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the StarWars.com article Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens?, published on StarWars.com on January 29, 2016.[1] However, from August, 2016 onwards, the planet was removed from all subsequent FFG maps starting with the publication of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, leaving the planet's canon status in question. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Zonama Sekot was first mentioned in the 2000 reference book The Essential Chronology.[4]
