DJ felt that larger causes were for fools, society being a machine looking to turn everyone into a cog. He felt this was true of any organization, be it the 第一秩序, 抵抗势力, or 新共和国. He considered all such causes to be meat grinders that chewed up their followers with the same disinterest.[2]
